Look who's TWO!

It's my little guy's birthday today. It's been so much fun watching him grow and learn this year, from learning letters and numbers, walking, to him giving me kisses and saying "thank you" afterwards.
Love you Aidan.
Happy Birthday to the cutest and smartest little boy!

Zoo Again

We headed to the zoo again yesterday morning for a few hours. We were there when it opened so there weren't very many people and the air was still somewhat cool.
Melanie and Heather both have season passes to the zoo, that's why we keep going there.

Drew and Aidan
Drew and Jaydon are looking like twins these days.
The kids really like the zoo's playground.
One of the zoo's main attractions right now is the baby giraffe that was just born.

Don't be deceived, that baby is about 6 ft tall and 130 lbs. So cute though. There is also a baby Snow Leopard, but we weren't able to see it today. The pregnant elephant that I posted a picture of previously, is due any day now and all the zookeepers are anxious and excited. Here is an article in the Tribune about why they are so anxious, but excited. I thought it was interesting anyway. :-)
A whole bunch of trouble

Generations

Just some more photos from the weekend Ella getting some attention
She's such a little chunk-a-roo.
I don't like pictures of me anymore.
I'm a chunk-a-roo too. Pictures reveal that I still have 20 pounds to lose. 20 pounds I'm not going to lose the way I've been baking goodies and eating ice cream. :)

This is how it goes...

Ok, so Ella looks strange in these pictures. (Did I just say that about my own child?)
But lately Aidan wants to hold Ella (especially if I'm feeding her) So I'll put her in his lap and he'll cuddle with her for about 1.3 seconds.
And then he starts pushing her away, "okay, I'm doooone."
"Get her away from me now!"
In Aidan's defense, Ella's probably already half his size. :)
