Some of what we've been up to...

Cary in the middle of rearranging cabinets so that we could fit a stove and dishwasher in the kitchen.
This was not an easy, but Cary did an awesome job.
This house is an honey oak palace, and I'm starting to stain some cabinets. These are before pictures, that I remembered to take after I had already removed a door.

I like how the paint chip colors look similar to the walls in this photo. It's actually not the case in person.
Look at Cary's handiwork. The cabinet above the microwave is a 28" cabinet and the microwave is 30", so Cary had some fun figuring out how to make it work, but you can't even tell. This was after we got the dishwasher in.
Yay for having a dishwasher again!
Cary has been working on installing gas line all week for the stove and dryer, and yesterday was finally installing the stove day.

Our previous house had a ton of natural light everywhere, I loved it. The one side of this kitchen is very dark and cave like and I really notice it when I'm trying to take pictures. Here's to hoping we can remedy that!
The crown still needs to go back up, and I have plans to stain these cabinets. I would LOVE ♥♥♥ to paint them white, but Cary is not allowing a white kitchen this go around. ☺
Me thinks I'm going to be staining cabinets all winter long. Clara comes in the bathroom and rips up all my paper.

On a different note--I need a "label name" for this house to distinguish from the last house...any suggestions? ☺

Nice. Isn't it lovely to have a husband who is handy!!!
Also I would re-think staining the kitchen cabinets dark it will only make the dark side even darker unless you can also add more lighting.

Sydney - I can't live with the cabinets honey oak colored and since Cary won't let me go white, I'm going dark. It will be an absolute dungeon in there for awhile. We do have some lighting plans, and some other plans further down the road. :D
