I wasn't planning on taking any pictures because I knew it would be kind of crazy for us having all of our kids there, but Mark Hayward was graduating and he was really wanting my Grandpa Bob to be there. Grandpa and Mark have been really close since Mark was a toddler (basically), and as Grandpa has gotten older and to the place where he can't do as much, Mark has been one person that Grandpa will let work in his yard or clean his house.
Grandpa is almost 97 and doesn't leave his house much anymore, about once a month he'll venture outside. My dad usually takes him meals and makes sure he has food, mom does his laundry and cleaning (if Grandpa will allow) ☺, Mark and Kiah do the yardwork.
Anyway, Mark really wanted Grandpa to be at the graduation, but we weren't sure if we were going to get him to go. Dad dropped off the invitation and reminded Grandpa about it about 30 minutes before it was supposed to start and Grandpa told him that he had been dizzy that day and didn't think he was up for it. We thought that was that.
Mark was one of the Valedictorians, and it was during his speech that Grandpa came in surprising us all. Grandpa stayed to the end and that's when everyone forms a line to congratulate the graduates.
I asked Grandpa if he wanted to go up and see Mark, but he told me that he didn't think he better. (The line was REALLY long.)

As Grandpa headed to the door to go home, Kiah and I ran to the front and pulled Mark outside to see Grandpa.
All things considered, I thought it was pretty special that Grandpa made it over.
