Weekend

Vernon's memorial was today and I didn't get any pictures of it, but I think there were about 160 people there. We had a meal afterwards and I did get some pictures of that and I'll point out some of the people.

Yay for Friday!

I decided last week what to do about the room situation with a baby on the way.
So last week, spur of the moment, Cary and I switched Aidan's room and the spare room.
Now the spare room is nice and "Cozy". :-)
Aidan now has lots of room, for a while anyway.
Don't worry, it's not always this messy! I'm still cleaning and organizing and I get lots of help from Aidan.
He's loving this box, guess I better not throw it away just yet
The poor kid is teething again
He's been sleeping a lot and a little on the cranky side at times. He was doing a lot of whimpering in his sleep last night too. :(
I suppose it's time to remove the mobile part of his mobile, he's starting to pull on the animals. I'm actually surprised we've been able to leave it on this long, but he still loves to play with the buttons and turn on the music.

Funny

I was going through some old emails and this is something one of my aunts sent awhile back and I still think it's funny everytime I read it.

Hell is where the Police are German;
The Chefs are British;
The Mechanics are French;
The Lovers are Swiss;
And it's all organized by the Italians.

Heaven is where the Police are British;
The Chefs are Italian;
The Mechanics are German;
The Lovers are French;
And it's all organized by the Swiss.

I'd really like to complain...

about how sleeping at night is already extremely uncomfortable, but I won't. ;-)
It's just that one of these days I'm going to wake up and I'm going to be paralyzed from my lower back and I won't be able to get out of bed.
Shucky darn, I don't know what will happen then, but it feels like it's coming soon.

Going home

Vernon passed away this morning after his family was able to spend most of the weekend with him.
It's a sad day but we're happy that Vernon is in a better place and he's no long suffering and in pain.
We had a graveside service this afternoon

It was very windy, but warmer than it could have been.
We had to head back to SLC so we weren't able to stay long and see everyone at the meal afterwards.

They are going to have a memorial service for him next Saturday (Feb 28) @ 2:30.

Thinking of the Weight family

Sounds like Vernon has taken a turn for the worse and they rushed him to the hospital last night and they don't think he'll make it through the day. :-(

I'll be thinking of all the family today and hope all of them get to see him before he goes.

It's Snowing.

It's a gray, rainy, snowy day. We still don't have much snow buildup on the ground right now, but it reminded me of some pictures I took up at Chad's house and I'm thankful we don't get THAT much snow. :-)

He had to dig the grill out of the snow.
There is just snow packed everywhere and so there aren't very many places to park.

These guys are on the balcony and as you can tell, the snow comes up almost to the edge of it.

Aidan wasn't sure what to think of it.
