July 2017

Jordynne spent some time with us during July.

We stopped by to see Janille's animals one morning.

I had gotten all of our animals "fixed" except for Pierce and Snowbelle. I figured we had taken care of all the males around here, so I didn't think there was a rush to get it done. Apparently I was wrong, and Pierce ended up pregnant, and was VERY pregnant by the time we noticed. 😁 (I'm allergic to the cats, so I don't hold them much)
I arranged with my dad to at least get Snowbelle fixed, and I was holding her waiting for my dad to come give her the shot, and I was like, "Man, she feels pregnant to me.", but let my dad give her the shot and he took her away to do the surgery, except that he called a few minute later and said that he had shaved her belly and it became very obvious that she was very pregnant as well. The kids were listening and of course they were very excited, but here I was trying to decide if I should let dad go ahead with the surgery and abort the kittens. Ultimately, I couldn't go through with it, so dad brought her back intact. 😅

The lower right side of this picture is Clara's growing rock collection. 😁

We had our annual BBQ for Kenneth's birthday up in the mountains.

The rest of the BBQ photos, Sharon took)

In July 2014, a relative of my dad's stopped by EskDale on a whim, my dad was out of town, but Craig Murphy (and family) met all of us that were there and was even able to visit with my grandpa. (Craig's mother was my grandpa Bob's niece, dad's cousin) Anyway, somehow Craig arranged for their next family reunion to be out in Snake Valley (They stayed at Hidden Canyon) and it was in July 2017, and they wanted one of their mornings to be spent at EskDale. So a big group of their family came and we gave them a tour, etc... we had fun visiting with them (even though that is WAY out of my comfort zone) 😉 and it's crazy the things that can passed down generations. The above photo was shot while showing them the video Sharon made for Grandpa's memorial.

Pierce had 5 kittens on July 20.
Snowbelle and Alexa went missing July 17. 😢
Alexa showed up almost 3 weeks later, but there has been no sign of Snowbelle and she was not one of our wandering cats, she was our outdoor buddy, always around.

Audrees' birthday is July 23, and Noah and Abby (and family) were out for that weekend. I think the cousins had a lot of fun.
(I stole some of Sharon's photos)

We went on a walk and Clara insisted on pushing Sienna the whole way.

I initially wasn't thrilled with where Pierce had decided to have her babies, but once she let me move them all into one of our cooler/houses, it actually turned out to be a good spot.
