Projects

At the start of nice weather I had about 10 furniture projects I had lined up that I wanted to do over the Summer.
Yeah.
That hasn't gone so well.
The first one I started on (back in June) was this stool that one of our neighbors was throwing out, I grabbed it and brought it home. (much to Cary's horror)

Two - three months later, I finally finished it.
I've never painted furniture type stuff before, I've only done the staining refinishing.
So I'm not very good at it. lol.
Good thing I picked a piece of furniture that the kids are going to beat up on, to work on first.

Aidan working on the final touches. ☺

All I did was paint it white.
(Geez, what took you so long?)
and modge podged some paper to the bottom for some fun color.
The kids love that thing, in fact they were very put out while I was working on it, since it meant they couldn't play with it.
In other news, since people asked. ☺
We're all still sick.
Amazingly enough, I'm the least sick of us all. (hoping it stays that way!)
Aidan's cold went right to his chest and he has a hacking cough all night.
My appointment went well on Monday.
Other than gaining 500 lbs, I had a surprise ultrasound.
(I had a surprise pap and physical too, but those weren't as fun) ☺
I was going to tell them to go ahead and see what gender the baby was, but figured I'd better wait and see if Cary wanted to be there or not.
I was thinking with the third child that I wouldn't care as much about finding out the gender before hand.
Not so.
So hopefully we'll be finding out on October 11.

Hope you all feel better soon! We're definitely not happy that cold season has started so soon. Just hoping that we're getting the worst out of the way right out of the starting gate.

Glad your appointment went well!

I can't believe your neighbors threw that stool out! Great job on making it brand new. I can't wait to hear what the babes sex is (secretly I'm hoping it's a boy so I can pass on all these adorabe clothes that were Isaac's and Aidan's to you). LOL

I love that stool! You did a great job with it.

You are better than I would have been about finding out what gender the baby is going to be. My curiosity would have had the best of me and I would have found out if they could.

I do hope that everyone gets better soon. I feel for you.
