The month of July

We had some thunderstorms in July so it made for good walking weather...

We wanted to have a BBQ while Jordy was around

Life had been so busy starting in about April through June that we hadn't been doing any house projects, and literally the Monday after the 4th of July weekend I got the painting/ project bug back. ;)

I forgot to mention in my last post, but the last week of June, the day after I got back from Dallas, the kitties went missing. It was a Tuesday and they didn't show up all day, but I wasn't too worried until that night, and then it was just weird that all three kittens would have gone missing at the same time. Everyone was looking around for them with/ for me the next few days...Cary got back from work on Wednesday and we walked around looking in people's vehicles and sheds (again) but still didn't find them. Thursday was the third day they were missing and we weren't very hopeful at that point that we would find them alive considering how young they were and how hot it had been that week.
Thursday evening when Aidan said his prayers, he prayed that we would find the kittens, and then told Cary that we should check down by the chicken coops again. Cary needed to take something down there anyway, so we said we would. After the kids were asleep, Cary and I walked down to the chicken coops so he could drop a tool off, and I started walking around calling for the kittens...all of the sudden Alexander jumps out of this pile of junk towards me and then the other kittens come running. I couldn't believe it! I yelled, "Cary!" and he's says "What, you found them?!" It was crazy, but we were so happy we found them still alive. They were looking kind of scrawny and they were very thirsty!
They did go missing again the next week, but we found them within the day, and now they stick pretty close to home, but they are so friendly that we have a problem with them following people. ☺

The next week we had another BBQ for Kenneth's birthday

 July Summer concert night

Aidan has been wanting to go fishing all summer, so we finally made it happen. ☺

Clara and I got bored real fast so we ate snacks. It was really pretty though, so I took pictures too. ;)
