Pesach (Passover) 2016

It's raining again...we're used to desert rain storms that come and go, and we're on day two of straight drizzly rain, I feel as though we've moved to a different part of the country, but it means I'll update again. ;)
We are celebrating Passover right now (eating unleavened bread for a week) but we had our weekend celebrations this past weekend, starting with the Seder on Friday night so here are a few photos.

This is where I start to get frustrated with my camera phone, and wish I could/would haul my DSLR around, but I'm not there yet, so I guess phone pictures are better than no pictures....or are they? ☺

Cary got some Sienna time in, so I was asking him if he's ready for another baby.
He's not. (lol.)
He likes the Uncle role.

Ella was in one of the dances over the weekend, which she was thrilled about.

Catching Up with April

It's raining this morning, so I guess it's a good time to catch up...
Cary and I watch a show called, Gold Rush, and one of the tough gold boss guys had this sign  hanging in his office. We both laughed for awhile about it, so now it's an inside joke, and it still makes me laugh when I think about it.

I made cheesecake for Cary's birthday earlier this month, So good! ☺

We found ourselves eating waffles at Ben and Chandra's house one Sunday morning.
Kunz was pretty sure that dad would be a sucker and share with him.

He kept waiting.

EHS is supposed to participate in an active shooting drill as part of school preparation, our location makes the logistics of that somewhat special (remoteness, state line, etc..), but they were able to do the drill and had Baker, EskDale, Ely, and Partoun EMS services participating, the sheriff from our valley was there, some of the police force from Delta, as well as AirMed flying in. I think it was a good exercise for all the different agencies as far as communicating, or in some cases realizing that they can't because they aren't on the same frequencies.

I drove Ella to one of her friends b-day parties that was held up at Sacramento Pass Rec area. It was a nice day except for the wind. Buffy had a very creative pirate party set up though.

The kids always look forward to the Young Authors Fair. Here are the kids introducing themselves and talking about their book.

The author/speaker this year was Mike Prince who is an author and a cowboy, so he did some demonstrations for the kids.

The blooms on everything have been incredible this spring. We have been hit by some freezing, so we'll see if any fruit happens on the fruit trees.

This is a Sensation lilac bush that I transplanted from my Grandpa Bob's yard. It's been struggling for the past few years in his yard, so I'm glad that one, it survived the transplant, but it seems to be thriving where it is now.

These tulips were looking so pretty in my front yard, and I took this picture sometime last week when it was hailing (small hail, thankfully). We had the worst wind storm on Friday night though, and everything really got beat up.

Aidan's Baptism

For baptisms, we go to Warm Springs, which has been nicknamed Eden in the HoA. We were a small group, Cary and myself and our kids, Greg and Lois, mom and dad, and Kenneth. I managed to not get mom and Kenneth in any of the photos.
It turned out to be a really nice warm day, so the umbrellas were needed for shade, while in other parts of the valley they were needed for rain. ☺

I was really glad I didn't bother dressing up the others.

The next morning we did the confirmation and then Aidan got to take communion, which is the part they are always really excited about.
