Tradition

So, it's pretty nice living next door to family. I can call Sharon up and ask her if one or two of the kids can go over to her house for a moment so I can regain some sanity. Sharon has been making popsicles (Thank you Pinterest) so Ella remembers to go over there every afternoon and ask for one. ☺

Britton is a fan too, but sometimes he just wants to chew on thepopsicle stick.
One of the lilac bushes in Grandpa Bob's yard. It's a different variety, and actually the bush isn't doing all that well. I'm thinking I might trim it back pretty hard once it's done blooming to see if that helps it come back.
Last weekend, David Rubin from Shiloh, Israel was visiting EskDale. David has written a couple of books, is the founder of the Shiloh Israel Children Fund, and he works with the people of Hayovel to help them find farms and vineyards to work in. (the Hayovel blog is in my lineup on the side if you've never checked out their site) It was very interesting to have him here and maybe we'll see him again. ☺
Phil flew him in and took him back, so here they are getting ready for take off.

In case you didn't know, when they take off on a dirt runway it's very dusty. ☺

One of those days...

ARGHHHHHHHH!

I've been having a hard time finding my patience today.

Visiting My Grandma

Monday morning the kids and I hung out with my Grandma for a couple hours. The kids like to go over there and see the chickens and ducks. I wasn't able to take any photos until we were about to leave.

A Little Field Trip

The weather was great over the weekend, so on Sunday morning we decided to go for a ride and go see some places. Our first stop was Kenny's mine, I'd never been there other than driving past and we wanted to look at the rock.

We ended up doing an impromtu hike thanks to Aidan.  That was interesting since Cary was holding Britton and helping Aidan up the mountain, and I was helping Ella.

Next we went to Knoll Springs so the kids could see the fish. The fish are still pretty small, but the kids enjoyed it anyway. I didn't enjoy it as much as the kids since Britton loved it so much he was wanting to dive right in the water the entire time so we had to keep a hold of him.

It was fun to break away from our normal Sunday routine of more laundry and cleaning. ☺

On My Own (but not really)

It's been a year now since we moved from SLC, and a very crazy year it was.
I mentioned previously that Cary has been gone a lot the past while, and sometimes it's hard doing the kid stuff alone, but looking at these pictures from Saturday, I guess I'm not really doing it alone. ☺

We have grandma's and grandpa's that snuggle and hold babies during church.

Aunts and uncles that go on a walk with us later in the afternoon (and will probably never, ever do it again).

It was such a pretty day...

(my settings were off) but Jenna and Kara running towards my kids.
