Thanksgiving 2010

The day started out with a brisk -11 degrees. Brrrr...
We ended up with a little over 90 people for our dinner.
Thankfully, Sharon, Rosaleen, Alex, Chandra, and Breanna stuck around to help Kenneth and I with the decorating.
(Especially since my physical condition is limiting my stamina and abilities) ;o)

Turns out that Ella LOVES lemon pie. ♥

We made the mistake of having our family picture taken at the END of the day instead of towards the beginning of the day. ☺
A long day it was too, but good.

Thanksgiving Brunch

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope everyone had an enjoyable day full of good food.
Here are a couple of pictures from EskDale, the Thanksgiving brunch and some set up for the main dinner.
We had over 90 people for both the brunch and the dinner.
More photos to follow. ☺

Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

Actually, the weather is supposed to be worse in a couple of hours, I hear.
It was cold enough this morning that the kids just snuggled in blankets and watched TV for a bit.
They seem to be feeling much better today.
Yesterday was still very trying on my nerves and patience. ☺

I'm 26 weeks this week, next week I'll be in the 3rd trimester already.
Ay yi yi yi!

Red Sky at Night

This is what it looked like driving into Snake Valley on Friday night.
We didn't get any work done on the house this weekend.
The House of Aaron was hosting the "Garden of Peace" mens retreat this weekend.
That kept us busy the entire weekend. (I helped with meals)
My kids started getting sick on Thursday, and Thursday night was a disaster with Aidan coughing so bad that he couldn't get more than 45 minutes of sleep at a time.
So none of us got any sleep that night.
Cary ran him to the walk-in clinic early Friday morning and they put him on albuterol (a breathing treatment) and a steroid. The medicine has been helping, but then Aidan came down with a fever on Saturday and Ella had a fever yesterday.
Fun times, fun times.

I'm excited about Thanksgiving though!
It's taken a little longer this year to get into what our decorating theme was going to be for Thanksgiving dinner, but we came up with something, it will be fun and I'm looking forward to it. ☺

Visitors

A few days ago, Sharon, Kenneth, Janille, and Tom came in to SLC for a Brandon Flowers concert.
Megan came in too, but she got to hang out with us and since it was her birthday we celebrated with a crockpot cake and ice cream.
My kids like having visitors.
