11 Months

This post is only 8 days late...
Ella turned 11 months old May 23rd.

Eeek.
Apparently, this means that she should do big girl things like pull herself up and learn to walk.
Ella has been quite different from Aidan in that regard. He was much more cautious about walking and climbing and didn't do things unless he had mastered it, Ella just goes for it and has bruises all over her head to prove it.
Maybe it's because Ella watches Aidan and sees him doing all the fun things, and thinks she should do it too.
You know, it used to be hard to get pictures of her...
now, it's nearly impossible.
I had to strap her down in the booster seat and give her some toys.
Ella is adding more words to her vocabulary all the time.
"Ball", "No", "mama", "dadda", "yum yum",  and "side" (for outside, YES! she already wants to be outside all the time) . There are more but I'm brain dead and I can't think of them right now.
Ella is walking along furniture a little bit, but I don't think it will be too long before she's walking by herself.
I can't believe it's already been 11 months.

Other stuff

***Edited - Fixed the broken link! Sorry.***
I posted a bunch of the before pictures of our house over on my Nutty Stuff blog.

Also, my brother Kenneth has started an EskDale News blog to just keep people up to date with what's going on there if you're interested.

Jaydon's Party

Heather and Andre invited us over for Jaydon's birthday party.

The party was sports ball themed and Heather had little baseballs and basketballs for all the kids as well as big blown up balls.
Aidan loves balls so I may be stealing this theme idea for his birthday party...

The kids love their yard too, heck, I love their yard. ☺

Erin still hasn't had that baby...
Xander is going to be a big brother soon.

He is so cute and he could NOT figure out what I was doing.

Hmmm, Cary was working so he couldn't come so I had to keep Ella from eating every bug, stick, leaf, etc...so it felt like I didn't take many pictures, but it would seem that I have plenty. Heh.

Another Fun Zoo Day

We met up with the D-Stirly family for an outing at the zoo and we weren't sure what to expect with the weather since SLC had quite the snow storm the day before.
It ended up being a gorgeous day! Not too hot, but not too cold or breezy.

This will probably be our last zoo trip for awhile...the parents are kind of tired of the zoo and the kids really don't care about seeing the animals, they are just happy to run around, play with rocks, leaves, sticks, etc... and we can do that at a park for free.☺

It was really nice this time since it was the end of the day and mid-week, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

There's this area at the zoo that is just some rocks and a bench on the hillside in some shade and I think the boys would be content to play there all. day. long.

We did a little family photo op.

Isn't this picture so romantic?
Bwahaha!
My settings were wrong so the picture was way too overexposed, but I kind of liked it.

To top it all off, we went to Cafe Rio afterwards, and THAT makes for a perfect day. ☺
