Desert Flowers

Last Saturday afternoon, while at EskDale, Cary, the kids and I went for a little drive around the "loop".
We spotted some flowering globe mallows and I wanted to stop and take some pictures.
(much to my impatient husband's chagrin)
In his defense, I had to scope the area for snakes for a good five minutes or so before I would even start taking pictures.  ☺
Don't really want to be surprised while taking a picture like this.

It was such a pretty day.

Uh oh...

This is how we found Ella this afternoon.
Someone is learning how to pull herself up

which means more work for me. ☺
I just think it's cute when she sits like this
Can't keep my magazines there anymore.

Cute Girls

I was in the mood to take pictures of people so I made my nieces be my models.

New Moon (not the movie)

Can you see it?
We got to EskDale last night just in time for Rosh Kodesh to look for the new moon.

Discovery

We went to check out the Discovery Museum at the Gateway.
It has all sorts of fun stuff for the kids to do... pretend like they are driving a farm truck loaded with produce, grocery shop, work in a construction zone building things, do mechanic work on a car,

farming,
taking care of chickens and eggs,
and ride a horse, (although, Ella was more interested in her egg)
You know, all the stuff that you could do in a rural area for free. ☺

There was this "mountain" and had two water play areas and that was pretty much where the boys wanted to spend most of their time.

There is a "safe" area for the younger children to crawl around and theoretically not be run over by the older children.
Sam was pretty determined to give Ella a kiss.
The garden area was pretty cool too, but I have to admit it still kind of makes me laugh that I pay for my kid to go do stuff that I grew up doing at home, but he's a city kid right now so I guess we do what we have to. ☺
