Yay, it's warm

It was warm enough for us to go outside on a walk yesterday.
Ready to head outdoors.
I was wearing a hat and sunglasses and Ella just wasn't sure what she thought about that. ☺
There are a couple of areas around our apartment that have rock landscaping and Aidan loves to go throw rocks.
Ella wishing she could get down and crawl around.  The grass was still really muddy from our recent storms. I know, I tested first hand when I kneeled in the grass.
So Aidan brought stuff for her to play with.
What a nice brother.

Sleeping and Sunday morning TV watching

Ugh. Another one of those Mondays where I'm having a hard time kick-starting myself to get anything done. ☺
We didn't do much over the weekend as it snowed all. day. on Saturday. We did go to church, but then we just hung out with my mom.
Yesterday was finally sunny, but it was still frigid outside when Cary and Aidan went outside to play
Here, I was taking pictures of them while they were watching Curious George and they didn't appreciate me getting in the way.
Aidan is old enough now that he's started coming in our room on Monday mornings looking for "Daddy?" "Where is he?" so I have to explain that dad's at work now that the weekend is over.
He also has started asking,  "Go to EskDale?, Go to grandma's house? Kenneth and Sharon?"
It's cute but a little heartbreaking to have to be the one to tell him that it can't happen. ☺ (Heh, especially since Sharon is in Israel right now!)

Lazy

I feel so lazy. I just don't want to do anything really.
I had all sorts of projects that I had intended to do this week and I didn't get around to any of it, but I'm thankful that it's the weekend. Mom is here visiting so that makes it extra special too. ☺
Wednesday, the kids and I drove down to Orem to meet up with Kenneth and Janille for lunch at the OG. We went to do a little bit of shopping afterwards and ran into Jenny and Bryan with Ava and Isaac.
Sometimes you're reminded that it really is a small world ☺ Aidan and Ava thought the toy section was their own little play space.

Stormy Day

Heh. I almost posted this on my cooking blog...I apparently wasn't paying attention.
Today was very stormy all day so we didn't get to go outside and play like we had the day before.

Haircut

I didn't quite realize just how long Aidan's hair had gotten.
He was starting to sport a tail there in the back though, it even resembled a birds nest at times.
Once again there were lots of tears, and M&M's were given to help alleviate the trauma of it all. ;o)
Conversation I had with Aidan this morning

Aidan - Mom, whatcha doing?
Me- Changing your diaper
Aidan -Oh, THANK YOU daddy, THANK YOU mommy.

Ella says "Ma ma" and "da da", but I'm pretty sure she's just doing it to copy us and not necessarily that she knows what it means....however, she does a very pitiful sounding "mommy" when she's crying. We packed her swing away over the weekend and strangely enough I didn't even feel sad about it.

On another note, the weather is awesome today. Earlier this morning I thought it looked like it was going to snow it was so cloudy and dreary looking. We went and played outside for a few minutes before lunch because it was sunny and warm! Teasing us with thoughts of Spring....for the record, I don't get my hopes up anymore until June (and we've even seen snow then!). ☺

I can't help myself...

She's too darn cute.

Also, the kids are watching The Wiggles... it's the older version with "Greg" and I find his voice very soothing. I could listen to him sing all day. lol. ☺

Huh.

Man, it's hard to post when your kids boycott their naptime. I waved the white flag of surrender and I'm currently letting them watch tv so I can chill out and not be angry about the fact that they won't go to sleep. ☺
This is how it looked this morning and was still snowing so I was all sorts of grateful that I went grocery shopping last night.
Thankfully, it is now sunny and most of the snow has already melted.
I guess I'm off to do round two for naptime, for Ella anyway. It's too late now for Aidan.
