Grandma Aileen Conrad died yesterday morning (Feb 14th) around 1:00. Dad and mom were in Nashville TN when they got the news, but luckily they already had an early flight back in the morning.
We couldn't have asked for a prettier day to say good bye to grandma. The sun was just beginning to set by the time we had everything ready for the graveside service.
Because you have to bury in 24 hours that meant that alot of the Conrad family could not make it.
Dad is the only one of grandma and grandpa's eight children that was there, so I tried to take a lot of pictures for them to see.
The service started probably close to 5:30 PM
Babies are definitely a blessing to have around at a time like this
We sang "Until Then" and "In The Garden" while Lois played the violin.
Dad said a few words and had everyone in tears.
Lois was playing "Jesus Is My Everything", the song that grandma wrote, while they lowered the casket into the ground.
We're so grateful for all the love and support from friends and family. Especially all the people in the valley and EskDale.
Poor Myrle just buried her sister a week ago today
Mark wasn't a grandchild through blood, but he was very close to both of my grandparents.
A memorial is planned for February 20, Saturday, 3:30 PM @ EskDale
