My Little Musician

and some other random photos from the weekend.
Look at those hands going

Kenneth playing with Cary's new toy
I'm pretty sure that Shawn took this picture. LOL.
and this one
Aidan likes this spot in the house, he waits until no one is watching and tries to steal the cats food. Ewww.
Not only does he like the piano, he likes the guitar too.
He even knows that dad can't play the guitar as good as uncle Chad
Kenneth and Sharon babysat for us while we were in a meeting Sunday morning
Looks like Aidan sure missed us
His typical pose lately when he sees the camera. Give me that!

Playing

We were visiting family this weekend. Aidan always likes that since there are more people around to do his bidding.
Doesn't Cary look like he's having fun going down the slide?

After he wore dad out on the slide, he got Tara to take him down.
Then Cary and Tara played a game of tetherball
Aidan was watching front and center
and then wanted to play too
Aidan got Kenneth to play with him
but hitting that independent phase, pretty soon he wanted to do everything himself.
We got to enjoy a couple of hours of warmer weather before the wind picked up. Unfortunately it snowed a couple more inches here this morning. :-P

Got lucky

So Aidan and I were running around town the other day doing some errands and what not
We passed the DI so I decided to stop and look there to see if they happened to have a bundt cake pan. Aidan spotted this toy and it was all over.
It was dirty and disgusting but he didn't really care, he just wanted to play with it. It was only $2 so I said why not, nothing a little bleach and glue won't fix. :-)
Aidan still loves it and it's growing on me too. You don't see toys these days that are wood and metal anymore.
Now I kinda want to decorate his room around this toy, hee hee.
I did find me a nice bundt cake pan too (for $2) so now I need to get busy baking. There are some recipes I'm excited to try.

Where oh where did Spring go?

Well, I'm sitting here while Aidan is napping watching the rain and snow fall out my window. It's rather depressing since last week was such nice warm weather.

I took a couple of pictures of some of the flowers we saw coming out while on a walk
They didn't know what was coming.
I had a doctors appointment yesterday and all continues to be well. We had an ultrasound that I didn't get to enjoy since laying on my back made me feel like I was going to pass out the whole time. Bummer.
Feeling faint and lightheaded in the morning have been a problem lately and hopefully we'll find out why I'm feeling that way in the next little while.

Tea Party

Shawn is back in the states after being somewhere top secret for a good 6+ months.
He and Cary get really weird when they are around each other.
See.
Shawn came over to visit so I made Russian Tea Cakes knowing he's particularly fond of them.
So Cary made some coffee and they had a nice little tea party
and watched The Simpsons
Aidan wanted in on the fun too.

Aidan watching TV. He's a bit of an addict lately.
He's not sure what to think of that "Shawn" guy either. :-)

Little Fireman

So this afternoon our neighbor had called the Fire department because she had an outlet that was sparking.
I don't think they had a whole lot to do, so the firemen were more than happy to let Aidan in the truck to do some exploring.
Actually, they encouraged it and told us to take pictures. By all means. ;-)
We know I don't like to take very many pictures.
Aidan had a blast. He was so overwhelmed with buttons and gadgets the kid didn't even know where to start first.
He would either get sidetracked by the plastic cup sitting there in it's holder
Or the laptop, or the buttons on the back wall, etc......
When it was time for him to get out I told him that the truck had to leave.
He got confused and said "Bye bye momma." :-)
He was sad to see the truck leave.
The firemen gave him his own little badge too.
He's pretty proud of it.
As you can tell, he's got his hand on it at all times. :-)
