Tea Party

Shawn is back in the states after being somewhere top secret for a good 6+ months.
He and Cary get really weird when they are around each other.

See.

Shawn came over to visit so I made Russian Tea Cakes knowing he's particularly fond of them.

So Cary made some coffee and they had a nice little tea party

and watched The Simpsons

Aidan wanted in on the fun too.

Aidan watching TV. He's a bit of an addict lately.

He's not sure what to think of that "Shawn" guy either. :-)

Little Fireman

So this afternoon our neighbor had called the Fire department because she had an outlet that was sparking.
I don't think they had a whole lot to do, so the firemen were more than happy to let Aidan in the truck to do some exploring.

Actually, they encouraged it and told us to take pictures. By all means. ;-)

We know I don't like to take very many pictures.

Aidan had a blast. He was so overwhelmed with buttons and gadgets the kid didn't even know where to start first.

He would either get sidetracked by the plastic cup sitting there in it's holder

Or the laptop, or the buttons on the back wall, etc......

When it was time for him to get out I told him that the truck had to leave.

He got confused and said "Bye bye momma." :-)

He was sad to see the truck leave.

The firemen gave him his own little badge too.

He's pretty proud of it.

As you can tell, he's got his hand on it at all times. :-)

It Feels Like Spring!

Finally!
The weather has been beautiful! It got up to 70 degrees here yesterday, I had two layers on Aidan and had to take the top shirt off because he was getting so hot.
We've all been fighting a cold and I'm afraid when your baby is sick you just plan on not getting a whole lot of sleep. We had quite the scare with Aidan the other night and almost rushed him to the hospital because he was having such a hard time breathing but we ended up getting his airways to clear somewhat. Hopefully this cold passes quickly.

Even though we're sick, we had to get out and enjoy the weather so we went for a quick after dinner jaunt.

We had to stop and rest for the fat lady. Aidan's new thing is to walk around everywhere with his hands behind his back.

Photo for the week, I'm getting to the point where I'm embarrased to tell people how far along I am since most people think I'm ready to have the baby. "Umm, nope. I still have 3 months to go, but thanks for the encouragement!"

We Like Weekends

It's nice to have a day or two where all three of us get to hang out
This morning we met up with Dan and Melanie at the park

Ethan wanted to chase them too

It just kept getting colder and colder while we there

So we didn't last too long.

So we went back home

Later when it had warmed up some more we went out for a walk

Get in some sunshine

Too bad it's Monday tomorrow.

Ugh.

I've got a cold and it's making me miserable and whiny.
And then there is this picture, it kind of tells the story of my day. (fat, miserable, etc....)

Aidan didn't want to miss out on the picture taking action.

Fig bars are his favorite snack this week

Unfortunately he knows where they are and he can reach them, and my cupboard space is limited so I can't do a dang thing about it. :-)
