Picnic on the Mountain

Our family has a few birthdays in July, so we usually use the birthday's as an excuse to plan a picnic in the mountains! 

This year was no exception, so this time it was on Kenneth's birthday.

Scenery, Kids, and House Stuff...

My uncle Tim was here for a few days around the end of June, and one of the days he was here he helped Cary put our new door in. We'd had the door for awhile, but Cary was dreading that project so it was nice to get it in!

We're spoiled bums, and we are so glad to have A/C and be done with the swamp cooler! (once again) I've mentioned that Cary has been spending a lot of time installing all of the necessary equipment, and then Bruce came out mid-July and got it all hooked up. Wahoo!

July 4th Weekend!

The Friends and Family retreat was over the July 4th weekend this year, there were lots of activities planned and we had lots of visitors.

Friday morning was the annual Walk-a-Song 5K, 10K, and half marathon. After that was breakfast, and then my cousin Jeremiah led a devotional. Mid-day, a trip to Fossil Mountain was planned for those that wanted to go, and then a water fight later on in the afternoon. We of course had our usual 4th of July celebration in the evening (Food, concert, and fireworks), and this year we had the perfect night for fireworks and it was great! (no rain)

Saturday was church as usual and I can't remember what was going in the afternoon, but later on that night we had a bonfire at the Salt Flats. Sunday was more visiting, and saying good byes. 

All that to say that it was an awesome weekend with friends and family!
