Family Christmas Party 2016

The Conrad side of the family tries to get together for a Christmas Party, and this year was kind of a crazy year, with lots of stuff going on. We didn't really plan anything so I just threw out that I'd do a dinner and then coffee/dessert/ games at my house on X date.
My Uncle Cleon and cousin Amanda were visiting from Illinois/Ohio, so they came over and joined the fun.
It was on a Thursday so we ended up watching my SIL on The Great American Bake-off. Funny story: (or not so funny) Our DISH receiver was dying that week, the fan would just quit so the box was getting too hot and freezing up and then it would take a while to reset it and get it to cool down. So of course that happens right at the end of one of the shows and we missed the last 10-15 minutes! 😀 We got it working again and then in order to help the box not overheat, we were blowing the receiver box with the hair blow dryer on cool during commercial breaks. True story.
Ella and Clara helped with the desserts

Baker - Garrison school play 2016

I know I already posted about the Baker/ Garrison Christmas program a little bit, but I forgot I actually brought (and used!) my big camera, so here are a few more pictures from the plays.
(Refresher, Ella was a coyote, Britton was a Mallard duck, and Aidan was a reindeer at Santa's reindeer school.

December Mish-mash

Having some drawing on the sidewalk time before it ends...

EHS Christmas banquet dress rehearsal

Some fun with Snapchat on our way to Cedar City. (Any filter that puts on my make up and whitens my teeth is my favorite) 😁😁

Cary taking a nap on the office floor...

In the midst of all the December craziness, the new playground for the preschool arrived.
Hooray!
Cary, Kenneth, and I spent a few afternoons putting it all together.
The kids got to play on it a couple of times before it snowed. 😄

Mom's cat was with me checking it out when I took these pictures.

I usually try to volunteer some time for the EHS banquet, I only helped on Friday night this year, but it's always fun to help out.

The food was not it seemed... 😉. The "egg"was actually mozzarella and a tomato

I liked the little mouse radishes

The dessert wasn't finished here, but finished it looked like a taco, hamburger and sushi roll.

Next was the elementary progams

Brit was a mallard duck

Ella was a coyote

And Aidan was a reindeer (in a different play) and I didn't get a picture of him.

I wasn't really planning on going to the Border this year for the gingerbread house decorating, and then I thought we missed it, but it happened to land on a day where the kids were driving me up a wall, and Janille reminded me that it was happening, so it seemed like a good thing to do that day. We ended up having a nice time and the kids got to see their friends. There ended up not being very many people there (it's usually packed) so that was nice, for me. 😏

"We" started another project, and it required removing some flooring and revealed the old linoleum and brought back lots of memories!

This was a very cool looking cloud.

Sunbathing kitties on our fancy set up. 😀
