Warm Springs and Fishing

The last day Jordynne was here we had a few spare hours ,so we took all the kids to Warm Springs. They had all been wanting to go swimming there. 

The next day we went to the Sacramento Pass Rec area, Aidan had been bugging us to go fishing again.

We packed a picnic and spent a few hours there, the older kids loved it, Clara and I got bored after walking around some and  eating all the food. ;)

When we got home, I walked around the house to find the cats and saw this. 

Yikes!

One of our worries is that one of the older Elms closer to our house is going to have a limb fall right on our house like this.

Hike to the Alpine Lakes

Jordynne and I took the kids on a hike up to the Alpine Lakes Loop the first part of July (the 11th), it was a really great day for a hike since the temperatures had really dropped, so it was cooler anyway and then up at 10,000 ft it was just a really nice cool temp for a hike.

We didn't intend to go to both lakes, we were just going to go to one, but it worked out to go to both. Jordynne ended up packing Clara most of the way.

We went to Teresa Lake first, and it was so pretty!

We stopped and had a snack break.

I asked for a group shot and this was the best we got.
