Summer, so far...

School is out and I learned from last summer and changed some things immediately this time.
The kids have to-do lists first thing in the morning before they can play or go anywhere, and I'm trying to wake up early still (for me) and get some stuff done before the kids wake up.
My peonies bloomed that I got from Grandpa Conrad's yard.

DeeJay, our UPS man, sent this Captain America to Britton with some help from Crystal. (Thanks Crystal!)

The first weekend of June we had a family reunion and Nakia's wedding.

Alexander and Casey (our male kitties) are never around anymore. :( (Actually, as I write this, we haven't seen Alexander for almost two weeks.) So we got three more kittens.

Last week was SO hot. It was almost in the 100's. Probably on this lawn, it was. ☺

So the kids have done lots of playing in water/ running through sprinklers.

The roses have started blooming!
I ended up losing 7 (maybe 8) rose bushes this spring to some sort of disease/fungus. :(

Shavuot was this last weekend and I didn't manage to take any photos.
There were a lot of people here! (atleast 6 extra families) Lots of kids for my kids to play with and they had a blast all weekend!
Britton fell in love with Aseneth when she came out for Passover in April, and she was here again and this time brought him some spiderman and mutant ninja turtle puzzle/ games. Something about Britton where people want to buy him things.☺

Chris and Amanda visit

Chris, Amanda, Gemma, and Jack came from Georgia for a visit. They spent a few days at EskDale  and then we all went in to SLC for a family BBQ. Some pictures of their time here.
The kids flew kites with Chris and Grandpa Greg

We visited the Baker Barnyard

Then our plan was to go to Wheeler campground and let the kids do some hiking and I had asked Breanna if the road was open, and she assured me that it was...
It wasn't.
So we stopped at the Mather Overlook for a minute

and then we ended up doing a cave tour

and then we visited Alyshia at the cafe and had some ice cream.

In SLC, we stayed at Josh and Kiera's house...

the next day we ended up going to a climbing place, we were just planning on watching but the kids assured us they wanted to climb.

Aidan and Britton were not that into climbing with the harness and all the gear, but Ella was!
We later found a kids climbing room and we should have just stuck with that for Aidan and Britton, they loved that room.

Overall, I think the kids had a great time there!
