What we're up to...

Watching people move Teresa into her new house

Visiting, Cash, the horse.

Brining 80+ lbs of turkey plus all the other stuff we're doing to get ready for Turkey day tomorrow.

Reminiscing all those batches of ice cream I made with this ice cream machine before its final death in the Spring of '07. I was making a batch of mint chocolate chip when it took its last breath (or started smoking up, details, details). That was a sad day, although I would have been even more sad if I knew that it really would be its last batch. Maybe someone will fix you eventually, old friend.

Playing with Aidan's new best friend, not counting the new friends he made at school this week.

I can't even begin to tell you how happy I we will be to see Cary tonight! :o)

My little peanut is 5 months old.

She's just my happy smiley girl and she's just a lot of fun right now.

We're out visiting family right now and preparing for Thanksgiving holiday.

Cary will join us later tomorrow

I'm a little worried at the moment. Grandpa Bob took off in his van today and said he was leaving for a town that's about an hour and a half away from here. He's 93 and hasn't driven anywhere other than around E-Dale for over a year, so we're all a little worried. Hopefully he makes it there and back. Eeek. We didn't really know how to stop him though. :-(

I feel so productive

I FINALLY got some of my house cleaned yesterday....like really cleaned. It had only been a couple of months weeks. What used to take me a couple of hours to accomplish now takes me about 1-2 days of pure concentrated effort.  I guess it's time to get back on my Fly Lady cleaning schedule. How do you get things done/ cleaned at your houses? Seriously, I can (somewhat) keep up with the day to day clutter, vacuuming, picking up, cleaning the kitchen after I cook, etc....but the deep cleaning is just really hard to do anymore.

I took these pictures after everyone woke up from a nap.

Can you tell? :o)

Then the other day I went to check on Aidan during his nap and he was sleeping on the floor. (???)

Kisses

So we took Ella to her 4 month appointment yesterday. She must be slimming down with all this moving around she's doing, she was only 14 lbs 9 oz. Her weight gain has definitely slowed down, but that's okay with me, it means she'll get to wear outfits more than 2-3x's before growing out of them. :o)

Ella also started rolling over from her back onto her stomach today. Problem is she's not so good at rolling from her stomach to her back so she gets mad when she ends up on her stomach. She has a way of cruising around the room on her back and uses her legs to scoot around. She's really not going to have any hair on the back of her head for awhile.

I put Ella on the floor the other day for some tummy time and then Aidan came over to join her. I was glad I just happened to have the camera with me to capture this moment.

Happy Birthday Megan

(Photo taken by John Conrad)

Happy Birthday Megan!
Megan, my niece, is turning nine today and I remember very well the day she was born. (Cause I'm SO old. Ha.)
I was the one watching Alyshia and Caleb while Tom and Janille were at the hospital, that helps with the whole memory and perspective thing.
Megan was/ is such a cute little thing. Unfortunately, my photography skills were much worse then than they are now so you're stuck with these pictures. :o) Hope you have a great day Megan.

Ummm....

Who told my baby girl she could grow up so fast? :(

She loves the jumperoo. (No worries, she's only in there for minutes at a time)

While I'm asking questions....what the heck is wrong with Aidan?

He was having such a hard time sleeping last night, whimpering, tossing and turning.

Hopefully he's just got some molars coming in or something. (No sickness please!)

All this time...

I thought it was the kids that made it hard to get family pictures done.

Turns out, it's the husbands!
"Didn't we do this last month?"
"Do we have to do it today?" etc...

I've been trying to arrange a time to get our family pictures done for quite some time and it's been met with resistance, but come on, how often are we all "dressed up". Maybe in other people's families it happens a lot but not in ours, got to take advantage of it when it does happen. :o)

So we had Sharon take some photos of us, unfortunately, not being all that familiar with the new camera, I left it on some settings that I shouldn't have and kind of screwed things up.

There were a few that turned out.

It's hard to get 4 people to look at the camera all at the same time.

See, even Cary can't focus that long, but Ella looked cute so I had to post it.

Ah, finally.
Thanks Sharon!

Now Cary and I can look at the pictures and talk about how much we've let ourselves go. ;o)
Glad we got it done since it's snowing this weekend. When we left our house this morning for church it was nice and sunny, on our way back it was a full on blizzard with hardly any visibility and I'm hoping Gordon made it home okay since he had to drive all the way back to Provo.
