It was a fun weekend, sad to see it go.
Kenneth and Sharon came to visit us, and yesterday I cooked Lemon Oregano Chicken with Feta, Potato Casserole, and Apple Crisp, Abby and Tara came over too and we had a good time. I managed to not get ANY pictures. Sometimes I suck.
Today we went on a shopping spree that managed to run Ken and Cary ragged. Sharon and I should have gone by ourselves. ;-) I kid, I kid. Well, during said shopping spree, we ate lunch at Sams Club and Cary and I got a big drink. With caffeine. Have I mentioned that I have adverse reactions to caffeine? Well, today I got the shakes, felt sick, and now I'm still awake at night when I should be sleeping. Ack. It's not like sleep is precious or anything these days.....oh, wait.
This post was brought to you by the letter C for Coke Zero (Darn you!) and the number 2, the number of hours I should have been asleep already...

Chubby
Sorry Ella, but it's just too cute so we have to get a picture of all your rolls. You look like a little sumo wrestler. Love,
Your mom
If I post this cute picture of you sleeping does that make everything better?
So, I finally decided that I couldn't handle the other chair anymore. The color just clashed too much with our other furniture, so we sold that chair on KSL. We were going to hold off on getting another one and see if we really needed a rocking chair. Well.........that night Ella was sick with a cold and so I was up with her almost all night because she was needing to be held upright to breathe. Needless to say, Cary went and picked up the chair we had been looking at, the next morning.

Sunday, Sunday
Last weekend, Nick and Tiffany decided they wanted to cook lunch for all of us.
So on Sunday we all headed to Jesse's house.
Thankfully, one of Jesse's housemates has a 4 yr old son that visits on the weekends, so our boys had toys to play with.
I can't NOT have pictures of Ella. :-)
She's such a cute little chunk
Watching us eat
Kenneth dropped by, since he was going to be staying with us that night
and then go to the fair with me the next day to watch the kids.
Good food, good company, good times.

State Fair (photo overload)
Yesterday was the Holstein show at the state fair.
Christian "watching the cows"
You know, sometimes I'm glad that I get to show up on show day and take pictures instead of being in the barn for 4-5 days with little sleep and lots of hard work.
Thank heavens Kenneth came in to watch my kids for me!
Chandra and Ben hard at work
I have LOTS of pictures of cows, I'm guessing no one wants to see all of them except for dad and Ben? ;-)
Someone's little boy found a puddle and was stomping in it.
It was even made MORE fun when he found his reflection in the window.
But he always made sure to stop and clap when everyone else was. "Yay!"
Cows behinds, I have lots more of those pictures too.
The motley crew :-)
It was cold right then. In typical Utah weather fashion, it was really hot and sunny earlier in the day, rainy, windy and freezing by the end.
Crystal was tired. :-) I remember those days and thinking that the wood chips looked so soft and comfy to lay in, or if I could just go lay on a cow.
After the show is over, they have an ice cream social and all the dairy people can get in free. Considering we had to run in the wind and rain to get there, ice cream wasn't sounding all that great. Jesse still stocked up on Creamies and Fat Boy's to take for snacks at work. :-) (He took a break from work to come to the ice cream social with us) ha.
After an extremely long day, we went out to eat.
and Cary came too.
Unfortunately, for Ben, Dad, and Crystal, they had to go back to the show, load up the truck and trailer at 9:00 (they don't let you enter the fairgrounds to pack up until 9:00 PM) and then they had a 4-5 hr drive back home.
Thanks Ken!
Couldn't have done it without you.....I probably would have tried, given up around noon, packed up, and gone home.
