Candlelight Service 2013

Britton was so excited to have lines in the Nativity play this year, and he knew the words to the songs and would belt them out heartily. Unfortunately, when he went over to get dressed for the play, he was apparently tired, had a meltdown and fell asleep. We weren't really sure what to do with him, but we ended up just letting him stay asleep on the "Shepherds Hill" and he slept through the whole play. Megan did a great job of improvising her lines and Brittons'.

There were so many kids out of town this year that Sharon had to recruit the Jr. high  girls to help out with some of the parts, and then Isaac ended up being sick, so Alyshia ( a senior) ☺ stepped in at the last minute to be a wiseman.

 

 I'm an idiot and volunteered for setting up the dining room and making drinks for the dessert potluck, so I missed the last half of the Candlelight service. Sharon took all of the pictures at the end of this post.

 

 

Faber Weekend

The first weekend of our Christmas Break we headed into SLC and met up with Cary's family. I already can't remember what we all did (this is why I need to catch up on blogging!), but I know we ate food, went shopping, lots of visiting, and at some point while we were in there, Lois took Aidan and Ella to see Frozen.

Salt Lake had just gotten a bunch of snow so the kids really wanted to go sledding, so Josh took us to a hill close to their house and the kids got to play in the snow.
