Scooter

 I hate it when I don't check my camera settings and overexpose the picture. Shawn and Britton riding the scooter.

 Our grass is starting to fill in and it's looking great. Actually, I'm happy with how all of the yard is turning out, much better than where we were at a year ago. I don't think Cary is convinced yet though. ☺ My uncle Wayne was here in February and trimmed all our fruit trees (We have two pear, two peach, and one apple.) and so I'm excited to see how good they look this summer.

 Shawn was around over the weekend and the kids were thrilled. All the guys (Greg, Shawn, Cary, Aidan, and Britton) went to the salt flats for more flying planes. Ella had spent the night at Janille's so she was still at Baker.

Now the weather just needs to cooperate.

Young Author's Fair

Today was the Young Author's Fair for grades K-6.

The kids all write a book and then they are set out for the other students and everyone to see and sign (give comments).

 Gretchen Baker, a local author, was the guest speaker.

 Then the kids are given certificates.

Spring Storm

 A branch that broke off one of our trees.

 The power was out for a couple hours that morning too, so the kids started making a snow sculpture.

Two Months (Clara)

(I'm writing all this down for my own info, it's amazing how fast I forget)

- Weighing in around 13 lbs according to our scale (however accurate it may be) ☺

- She's been smiling for a couple of weeks now.

- Sleeping longer stretches at night (like 5-6 hours), but mom knows better than to get excited about this because all my kids start sleeping through the night around two months old and then hit a growth spurt or something and it goes back to crap. ;)

- She lost all her hair except a patch in the back near her neck, but she's growing some dark fuzz now.

- I hope it's safe to say that she's not colicky or anything. She'll have a fussy day here and there, but at least it's not everyday like it was with my boys.

- She has a little bit of reflux, but not bad enough that we need to medicate, I just try and make sure to keep her propped up for awhile after feeding.  Some nights I'll hear her ruminating...for lack of a better word while she's trying to sleep.

- The other kids adore her, and I still have to watch Britton very closely because he'd like to love her to death. (literally) I think Britton and Ella ask to hold her about every ten minutes. Ella had major regression a few weeks after Clara was born and we dealt with a very trying couple of weeks of potty accidents. She seems to have gotten over it and is back to normal. Whew.
