Clara's Blessing Day

We actually had Clara blessed last weekend (March 3rd), and all of these were taken by Sharon. (Thanks Sharon!)

We had planned to get a family photo afterwards... yeah.

Snowy Afternoon

It snowed all afternoon on Friday, but thankfully it was more like rain and didn't stick to the ground until the evening and we never did need to shovel the sidewalks. All of the kids fell asleep at the same time for awhile and the silence was glorious. ☺
My Grandma stopped by to visit. It was good day.

3 Weeks

I sound like a broken record when it comes to writing about how quickly the time goes so I'll skip over that part and just say that time really does fly.
At her 2 week check up Clara was already 9 lbs 5 oz and 20.5 inches. She's eating every 2-3 hrs, day and night.

There is no shortage on love around here...I kind of figured Britton would be indifferent towards Clara and would probably ignore her, but that hasn't been the case at all. I actually have the problem that I have no where to put her down that is "safe" from Ella and Britton and their affections.
Britton is not exactly gentle or careful even if he means well. ☺ (As I'm writing this he woke Clara up by poking her in the face with a toy.)
The kids (mostly Ella and Britton) burned out the motor in my swing by hanging on it and stopping it while Clara was in it trying to give her hugs and kisses. :( I'm trying to decide if it's worth replacing, and it probably is worth it, but I'm still bummed about the whole thing.
Cary went back to traveling for work this week. Boo. ;)
I (we) survived, thanks to help from family and friends.
The more noticable difference this time around (for me) is that now that Aidan is in kindergarten and has to get on the bus, there is no sleeping in or taking it easy in the mornings, at all, so I'm going to bed as early as 8:30-9:00. Last night Cary and I were in bed before 9:00 and Cary said something about us being 90 yr olds. Ha ha.

Winter Carnival

Last Friday night was the Winter Carnival, which is a fundraiser for the Baker/ Garrison schools. The kids had a blast with the different games and activities.

The kids really wanted to do the cake walk, but for some reason it was really scary for them. ☺
They did eventually warm up to it.

Misc...

The only way to keep Britton from destroying the house for a few minutes.
 Sleeping Beauty

Kenneth has been keeping us stocked with cookies. ☺
Britton runs to the kitchen and says, "a cookie?" at least a hundred times a day.

A sign that Spring is coming.
Not something you see in EskDale everyday...
The napping chair.
