Growth Chart Project

Another Pinterest inspired project.
I've been wanting to do this for a looooong time. I'm pretty sure we were still living at Petra when I had Cary pick up the board for me.
Yeah, it sat out in some weather and now it's all warped BUT I finally got it done. ☺
This is not it's final resting place, but I have it in the hall and I don't think I could get a picture of it in there since the hall is so small.
I still had an old growth chart that I used with Aidan and Ella a few years ago so I could transfer those over to my new one.

34 weeks

My cold sore is having a hard time going away since it was so massive. =P
Aaaagh!
6 weeks-ish left.
Nesting is in full swing, complete with dreams about organzing closets and drawers. Too bad I don't have the energy to accomplish even 25% of the things I'd like to accomplish. ☺
Why is there the need to all of the sudden need to do all these things before the baby is born? I try and tell myself that if I've lived without them done for over a year now I think it will be okay if it doesn't get done for a few more months.
I'm not listening.
I'm going in for weekly-ish appointments and non-stress tests, making it feel like it's so close to the end now.

Projects

I really wanted to make good use of the time that Cary had off for the holidays, and painting dressers was on the top of that list.

I got this dresser from my mom over 5 years ago, right before Aidan was born and I've originally been wanting to stain the bottom part and paint the top white, but since I'm pregnant and shouldn't be inhaling those kind of fumes, and it's WAY too cold to be doing this outside or anywhere with ventilation, it all got painted white.

This is just a cheap RAST dresser from IKEA that we bought for Aidan when we first moved into this house. Aidan wanted me to paint it red last summer and I never got around to it. Well, he hasn't mentioned recently that he still wanted it red, and I had this little sample pot of Valspar Cobalt Cannon, so I went ahead and painted it that color.
I really like it.
Aidan does not.
He still wants it to be red.

The boys have another dresser in their room that I wanted to work on as well, but I ran out of steam and now I'm kind of wishing I would have stuck to painting the little dresser red, and painting the bigger one that blue because I really ended up liking the color. ☺

Happy New Years!

It's been a busy week, and last weekend we headed to SLC to hang out with the Fabers and have dinner together and go to the ZOO lights. It was too cold outside for Britton (who still wasn't feeling his perky self) and for me, so we went back to Josh and Kiera's. I don't have any pictures of that since I wasn't there, but I know that Aidan and Ella loved it. They really liked spending time with Jordy and Audrey too in our short stay.

Last night my little party animals stayed up until past midnight. We had a party here at EskDale with food, games, fireworks, and sparkling cider. (Britton and Cary stayed home, Britton is not a very good party animal yet, he just turns into a cranky animal.) ☺

Getting some bubbly. ;)

Christmas 2012

Christmas day wasn't horrible, but it ended up that Cary and Britton spent the day sleeping and fighting fevers still. I wasn't feeling well and I had a massive cold sore breaking out below my nose, but I still had a lot to do that day. (Cary now calls my cold sore the "Hitler mustache", that's how big it is!) Thankfully, Alex and Rosaleen took Aidan and Ella for most of the day so I know they atleast were having fun. ☺
Christmas dinner was awesome as usual, but Cary and Britton weren't able to enjoy it, they came over for a minute and then went back home. Thanks to everyone that helped with the decorating and making my life easier. ;)

Ella excited to be drinking out of a glass cup.
