Night at the Courthouse 2012

That time of year again when the Hanks clan (as much of us that can) get together and hang out for a night. We grew out of the lodge that we used to go to in Cedar Break, and last year they found a different lodge, but there was a big snow storm the day we were supposed to go there and so those of us that didn't have 4 wheel drive stayed home.

This year we stayed at a courthouse turned into a family reuion place in Junction, Ut. Very interesting! ☺ This place had a lot more bedrooms and places to sleep overall.

I got a couple pictures of the rooms, but there was a whole side of the courthouse that I didn't even see.

The first night of Hanukkah was that night so we were lighting the candles.

The old courtroom is now the main lounge/ TV area.

 Britton is a little blur in most of my photos, that boy was on the move.

 I didn't get around to taking pictures of the rooms until the next day, so all the beds were unmade. ;)

The room we stayed in. ☺ I think it was the only room in the building without heat too.

I've been informed that I'm much bigger in real life than what has been portrayed by my belly photos. My apologies. Here is a front view of my ginormousness. ☺

Cheating

 Well look who put up lights this year for the first time in about five years....☺

I've been pretty "Bah humbug" about the holidays when it comes to decorating and doing gifts, but I decided this year to do some gifts for Hannukah. Hannukah falls during an incredibly busy week for us and we will only be home together for 2 nights out of the next 9-10 days-ish, so I decided to let the kids open one of their gifts early.  

I decided this in about 10 seconds and then had to run outside to the storage room where the kids couldn't see me and package up their gifts really fast because nothing has been wrapped. Cary gave the kids baths and then we let them have at it.



It's the simple things, Britton loves his toothbrush. ☺

 

You can never have too many books...

Cary got coffee, but he cheated and had smelled the package already so he knew what he was getting. lol.

They say it's your birthday....♪♫♫♪♪

well, it's my birthday too.

(We'll be pathetic together if you know what movie that comes from) ☺

 

Yes, it was my birthday today, and my mom cooked up a special birthday dinner for me and my grandpa (his b-day is Dec 2) and we had a small party (If a party that includes my family can be considered small...) that included lemon pie which is a favorite for both of us.

I had my camera, but no pictures were taken, not a single one.

So here are some pictures of Britton and his wild fuzzy hair. I'm trying to decide if I should trim atleast the sides and the back.

His hair looks a little bit different now than it did when he was born. Awww...

29 Weeks

 So I bombed my 3 hour test last week and I've been spending the last week being depressed brushing up on the diabetic way of eating. Good times, good times. The holidays sure are going to be brutal. ☺
Actually, the first five days were interesting in figuring out my blood sugar. By Friday and Saturday I knew something wasn't right because I would be so tired in the mornings and on Saturday it lasted until almost noon. (abnormally tired, not just the" I only got 4 hours of sleep last night".) I finally got it figured out that I needed to add a "midnight snack" to my eating schedule because I was going too long without food and my blood sugar was dropping too low.
Anway...
