Sukkot Weekend 2012

Some photos from the weekend, we've been having nice Fall weather but over the weekend it really cooled down and we had our first hard freeze. I don't think we stopped eating over the entire weekend.

It's that time of year again...

 Sukkot!

Time for the big tent to go up and all the little tents if you are so inclined to sleep outside in one. We're looking forward to our weekend Sukkot celebrations.

Halfway!

 Actually, I'm a big slacker and I was officially halfway last Friday. But woo hoo anyway. ☺
I'm craving ice cream, but other than that I don't really have any abnormal food urges. Not even Cafe Rio. How weird.
I'm having way less Braxton Hicks contractions than I have compared to my last two pregnancies (so far).
We found out we're having a GIRL on September 18th and it will be nice to have things even and get to dress up a little girl again. ☺

 I was going through some photos and thinking that my kids like ipads, iphones, and ipods a little too much. ☺

Planting Our Lawn

 Hey, hey, hey...we actually got the lawn planted today.

 Now we just have to wait a week, hope the weather stays nice, and see if anything comes up. ☺

 The kids keeping busy. It seems like Britton is wearing that shirt everytime I take photos. I decided that it's very helpful to have him wear a bright color, so he wears it a lot.

 I was lamenting yesterday about the color on the trees changing already and Kenneth pointed out that it *IS* almost the end of September already. Good point. I guess it's okay that the leaves are changing and falling off already then.

 Colleen and Gerry just might be regretting that we are there neighbors at this point. Ella went over to there house about 20 times today and I'm not kidding. At some point Colleen gave the munchies a sucker probably hoping that they wouldn't bother her for a few minutes. ☺
I think Ella and Britton were missing Sharon and Crystal. ;)

After hydroseeding our lawn they moved over to Teresa's yard, but her lawn size is 8 x's as large as ours so we didn't stick around.

Rosh Chodesh/ Eve of Yom Teruah 2012

Monday night we observed the new moon on Black Mountain and that kicked off the start of the Fall feasts for us. Tuesday was Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets) where the shofar is blown every hour. Next Thursday is Day of Atonement ( Yom Kippur) and then Sukkot (Tabernacles) is Oct 2-8.

 Looking, looking...

 It's been spotted, time to blow the shofar.

 Can you see it? There has been a lot of smoke in our landscape for the past week or so, so visibility wasn't so great, but atleast we saw it! ☺
