Sunny Days

We were supposed to get lots of snow this weekend, but it never happened. We had lots of wind though. ;o)
The kids were all sick last week, and sleep has been non-existent for most of us... It started out with a fever and Britton was burning up for almost three days and he just wanted to be held. The boys with their respiratory issues every time they get sick, means that they are coughing. all. night. long. Still. Albuteral helps a lot, so I can't imagine what it would be like if we didn't have that. :P

Britton is into EVERYTHING lately! Aaack.
As I'm writing this, he won't leave my laptop alone, and he's deleted pictures and closed out my window numerous times. Good thing the drafts get saved on these or I would have given up a long time ago. ☺

These are some pictures from the weekend before we all got sick. That weekend was so warm and no wind.

Purim 2012

Last week was Purim, we got together and ate some good food, visited and then had a reading of the story of Esther. The night was capped with some dancing and games.
It's tradition to have a party on Purim, and for people to dress up and get smashingly drunk (we obviously don't do that part. ☺) Ella wanted to be an angel, and Aidan was pretty sure he was going to dress up as Jonah...until it was time, and then he said, "I'll dress up as Jonah tomorrow". (In other words, never.) ☺

This week so far...

I've been SO bad about taking pictures. *Smacks my hand*
Sunday was warm! It was really only like 65 degrees, but we were all whining about how hot it was, but enjoying being outside anyway.

 Ella during rest time
Monday got up to sixty nine degrees, and then Tuesday looked like this. It started snowing and about an hour later the power went out for about 4 hours. That was nice.
Cary was driving home from Layton while we were having a blizzard, he called me from Skull Rock (45 miles away and the closest we get cell service) just to let me know where he was, and that so far the roads were dry and no bad weather. Well, when he hadn't showed up over an hour later, I was starting to get worried, so I waited another 20 minutes and then had my dad go out and look for him. Cary showed up about 40 minutes later. He hit bad weather just a little past Skull rock, but he found himself behind a snow plow (which was a good thing!) it just meant that he was going really slow. My dad found them a few miles down the road, Cary did end up getting stuck on the straight road coming into EskDale, next to the fields.  Dad had to pull him out, so it ended up being a good thing that dad had gone looking for him. Two other vehicles ended up getting stuck in the same snow drift later that night.
The next morning...you know, I don't hate snow as much when I don't have to drive in it, with other idiots. In fact, now I kind of like it for the photo opportunities. ☺ I totally missed some today too when the high school kids were out there playing! (other than the sledding pics I took that are on the Haps)
I spent a lot of the day shoveling sidewalks...I think my poor muscles are going to hate me later. ☺
