Shavuot 2011

Last weekend was the Feast of Shavuot. It was very busy for our family, as I was helping with meal events. (cooking and decorating).

Cary got to spend lots of times with the kids. ☺

We were usually home long enough to get a few hours of sleep and that was it, but we had a great weekend.

Friday night after the meeting we all gathered at the dining hall for refreshments and visiting.

The centerpieces were alfalfa and barley from the fields. ☺ (washed off, of course)

We served about 120- 130 people at the meals.

It's HOT today.

(which means it's over 80 degrees, 85 to be precise)

Mike and Aaron are here working on my house, and while we're always happy to see them, I was especially excited this time.

They've only been here since yesterday morning and they've already got a lot done!

Guess it really helps to know what you're doing. ☺

One of the kids locked us out of the house again this afternoon.

Britton was once again in the house alone, but this time he was crying on the couch.

I had Breanna call Kenneth to see if he could come down and climb through a window, and then later I was like "duh, why I don't see if Breanna can climb through the window?"

So Breanna saved the day today. ☺

(And then Kenneth showed up and got Britton to sleep, so he saved the day too.)

I now know what kind of door knob I WILL NOT have in our new house.
