Uncle Ken

Yesterday I spent the day looking at tile all over the city of SLC with Kenneth, and
we had a jolly good time drooling over tile selections way beyond our budgets. (Although, I'm not sure I'll forgive him for showing me that tile world beyond Home Depot and Lowes, etc...) ;o)
Then he had to come back in today, so we got to spend a little bit more time with him.
Hope you make it home safely tonight, Ken!
Here he is reading to my kids last weekend.
They are excessively fond of their uncles, aunts, grandparents, and cousins. ☺
(and pretty much everyone)
BUT, if you'll read to them, they will really love you.

36 Weeks

Whew!
There was a minute or two last night I thought that we were going to have to head to the hospital.
I was having so many contractions and they were getting painful enough that I wasn't able to sleep.
Around 2:00 AM, I got into the tub and took a 2 hour bath and drank lots of water and the contractions went away.
Not quite ready for this baby to be showing up! ☺
The sciatic nerve pain has just been AWESOME the past week or so, I really could do without that...

Ponytail!

Look who has long enough hair for a ponytail! ☺ (sort of)
It makes her look way too old though, and I'm not sure I'm liking that.

I realized it's been way to long since I got pictures of these munchkins.
True to form, they don't like to look at the camera at the same time.

This too shall pass...

Before I know it, it's been over a week since I posted anything last.
Wow.
I've just been too busy with things like:
-Eating ice cream
-Organzing and cleaning, so if you come over, SOME of my closets and cupboards will be really clean and organized, but the rest of my house looks like a bomb exploded.
-Eating ice cream
-Chasing Ella, who has figured out that I'm REALLY slow moving these days, so she can get a good head start.
-Eating ice cream
-Being depressed about the weather. I've never been a fan of January and February, they are just months you have to sludge through to get to March. (although, it's kind of nice to have something to look forward to this year. ☺)
-Eating ice cream
-Working on other random projects
-Eating ice cream
-Not taking pictures
-Eating ice cream

Back to the weather, in SLC it hasn't been too bad. It actually warms up and our snow melts, but in EskDale, they still have been too cold so there is still a lot of snow on the ground. This is really cramping my style as far as construction on our house and for my SAD. (I diagnosed myself ☺)
I'm just "a little" tired of traveling back and forth, (as is the rest of my family) so I'm afraid I've been somewhat of a "Negative Nelly" about a lot of things going on in life, so I guess be thankful that I spared you from that. ☺

34 Weeks

My new mattress pad is making a HUGE difference, so I'm sleeping much better at night. ☺
The sickness I had over the weekend seems to have sapped all my energy and I haven't gotten it back.

Whew.

I think we're mostly on the mend from the stomach bug.
Cary and Ella are still feeling icky, but Cary was able to go to work today.
(I thankfully didn't seem to get as hit as hard as everyone else)
It was kind of bummer to have a long weekend and end up being ill most of it.
Chandra had invited us over for dinner and the kids really needed to get out and see people so we persevered and went over to their house.
We figured we'd go ahead and spread the stomach flu too. ☺
Aidan and Ella always have lots of fun hanging out with their cousins.

Cary and I were still feeling sick enough that we didn't dare eat anything except for a few bites of Chandra's homemade ice cream while everyone else got the yummy pizza goodness.

Thanks for inviting us over Chandra.
Hope no one got sick!
(besides Kenneth) ☺

Down for the Count

Last week was round 1 of the stomach flu tearing through our house and it would seem that round 2 has hit this week.
Cary was supposed to work on finishing the wiring in our house this weekend, but he got hit and he's been down for most of the day. Ella has been throwing up the past 3 days, even though she was sick a little last week. Aidan and I were sick last week too, so I'm hoping we don't get another turn.
Needless to say, there hasn't been much to blog about...that you want to read. ;o)
