Fiddly Dee

There isn't much in the way of the house to take pictures of right now.
Other than Ryan got our porch removed and Cary hauled it away.
Most of the work being done the past couple of weeks is all happening under the house.

Cary and Alex have been getting all the plumbing and pex (water pipes) in, and building a pad for the furnace to sit on.
(All the old plumbing and electrical was pulled out of the house)

We REALLY need to get started on our back entry area, a project that Cary would like to scratch, but I don't want to! ☺

Early Thanksgiving Dinner

The Faber family got together last weekend for an early family dinner since Abby and Kiera will be working on Thanksgiving.
Shawn just got back from Iraqistan the previous week so he was even able to make it up so we celebrated his birthday and Jordy's.
Cameron and Jordy frosted the cupcakes

Cary and Shawn "entertained" us with their music. ☺

Instead of turkey, we had a corned beef dinner. So good!

We sang "Happy Birthday" to Shawn and Jordynne

and then they blew out their candles.

Aidan had an honorary candle in his cupcake and was devasted when someone blew his out.

One of those weeks...

where everyday you shake your head and go "Man, it's been one of those days."
Aidan looking nice and comfy in our bed after keeping us awake all night.

He was pretty perturbed that Ella was being so loud.

Ella likes banana muffins...errr, chocolate.

***WHALE ALERT***

Trying to get some pictures of the little devils, I mean, kids.

Dad's Surprise Bash

As I mentioned in my previous post... we had planned a surprise party for my dad's 60th birthday.
I think he was sufficiently surprised. ☺
He was expecting to go to a prayer meeting and got a "SURPRISE" from about 100 people, and a little concert of some of his favorite songs, or songs just sung or played by friends and family members.
Afterwards we gorged on apple pie, strawberry rhubarb pie, and ice cream.
(some of dad's favorite desserts)
