Getting Sentimental Over You

Last Friday night, July 9th, was the July summer concert.
There weren't as many people to this concert as the last one.
Probably too close to the 4th festivities. ☺
My uncle James came up from Phoenix to be the accompanist.

Sharon and John Paul - You're Just in Love
I missed taking pictures of Lois playing "Hoedown"  because Ella saw her grandma up there and beelined for the stage.
She almost got there too. ☺
Rosaleen and Sharon - Spanish Dances
Dad always gets roped into the being the MC at these things. ☺

John Paul - Smile

John - Maria
Another fun night of music!
Great job everyone that was involved.
Can't wait for the next concert. (August 13)

Summertime...

and the livin' is easy. ☺
Seems like the summer is flying by.
It's been fun with all the things we've been doing and the places we've gone,
but I think we're getting a little tired of traveling so much.
We just need a weekend where we're not going anywhere,
but then we like seeing people and all that.
What do you do...
Unfortunately, we're kind of at a standstill with the progress on the house.
The good news is that pretty much all the demo is done,
now Cary just needs to learn how build a house. ☺
Or atleast put walls up, install sewer lines, electrical wiring, etc....
You know,
all that easy stuff.
In other news...
(besides the fact that I like ellipses)
Ella is SO close to walking.
She's moving from furniture to furniture,
she just gets a little too excited while walking towards people and does a face plant from tripping over her feet.
With everything that has been going on,
I'm just barely getting around to going through some of my pictures.
These are from almost two weeks ago,
the first pool party was such a hit that we decided to do it again.
Ella is NOT happy with Evan invading her pool.
Aidan sporting a nice shiner on his forehead.
Side Story:
It was around the time of day that Cary was supposed to be getting home and the kids were tired and cranky.
Ella was walking along holding on to the wall and tripped over my foot and smacked her face into the floor.
She ended up with a swollen bloody lip.
Not even 10 minutes later,
Aidan and I went to check the mail,
he runs in front of me,
trips over my foot and falls flat on his face.
Sigh.
I apparently need to learn to stay out of the way.
Some days,
I have a great talent for getting great expressions on people's faces.
Evan didn't want to look at me that day,
he was enthralled with that toy.
Hope everyone is having fun and doing everything they wanted to do this summer.

Water Fight and Bubbles

As usual, I'm avoiding the things I should be doing, so here are more pictures from last weekend.
Lois bought some water guns for the kids (and big *kids*) to play with since EskDale no longer has a pool and you need some way to cool off in the heat.
Ella was concerned about what this meant.
There were also plenty of bubbles, which is always a kid favorite.
Jordynne about to get in trouble.
She squirted her dad....
and we'll just say she lost the battle.

The face Ella was making, cracked me up.
Aidan especially liked the rides on the rhino.

Ella and Ahava

Ahava is mom's latest rescue kitty.
She likes Ella,
err...Ella's toys
It's pretty cute to watch them play, although you gotta watch out for both of them swatting at each other. ☺
