First Fruits

Sunday was the Day of the Wavesheaf, or sometimes known as Day of the First Fruits. In Israel they would make an offering of their first harvests.
This is what Sunday morning looked like here, so there are no harvest offerings to be made.
So we celebrate the day of the resurrection with music and dance offerings.

Pesach/ Passover 2010

This year the Biblical New Year was on March 16, (which is the time that baptisms are done), so the Seder was on March 30 which began the Feast of Unleavened Bread and goes for seven days.  The House of Aaron usually has what we call a Feast weekend during the time of the three major Biblical Feasts, so last weekend was when we all got together to celebrate the feast, even though Passover/ Pesach is longer than a weekend.

Hello April

What's the saying? March goes out like a lion, April in like a lamb. Here's to hoping it's true,
'cause this is what the end of March looked like.
We had some HORRIBLE wind on Tuesday, and then it snowed all. day. yesterday. Today is sunny, calm and showing a little bit of promise, so I'll go ahead and ignore the forecast that says we're getting more snow tonight. ☺
Aidan had his first sleepover last night at Janille's house. It's been kind of weird for me to only take care of one child, unfortunately, he's not the one that wakes me up at night. ;o)

Also, today is Cary's birthday and being the awesome wife I am, I ditched him this week. (Love you babe, happy birthday! ♥)
