9 Months Old!

I can't believe this girl is nine months already! (really it happened two days ago)
I wet her hair down for pictures
and then she really did not want to look at me
My little girl is working on her 6th and 7th tooth...seems like like this teething thing is never going to end
she loves chasing her brother around the house
and lately she claps on command. I swear she tries to copy us saying "clap, clap, clap"
She's becoming a little more spunky everyday and I realize how similar our personalities are,
and that's pretty scary! ☺

I didn't want to leave Aidan out, but he didn't want to sit by Ella to get his picture taken. (Well, she didn't want to sit to get her picture taken either!)

Deck

Crystal posted last week about some of the changes happening out at EskDale
The deck and stairs are gone!
How exciting, it's always nice to see plans moving forward

For reference, here is what the area looked like last year.

Visiting the cows

(an obligatory photo of Ella from the weekend since she doesn't make an appearance in the rest of the post, she was too busy sleeping in the stroller) ☺
We visited family this weekend, and grandma Lois took Aidan out to the dairy to see the cows on Saturday afternoon, so on Sunday morning he was pretty sure that we were supposed to go there again.
We were okay with that since we thought the weather was supposed to be nice. Of course, by the time we left for our walk it turned cloudy, cold and windy.
We forged on ahead anyway.
a very new calf
They aren't sure what to make of Aidan playing in their grain.

It was too cold and windy so we didn't stay long

Our ride and a birthday

The day after we got our van, we drove through a rain/ snow storm....if you don't know what that does to a vehicle, I'll just say that it turns into a gray filmy mess on your car. Cary and I are quite particular about our vehicles being clean.
Because of that, I was waiting until we washed it and got our new wheels (rims) to take pictures of the van. It's going on a month and we still haven't washed the outside, BUT we did finally get our rims on Friday. (phew! that was turning into a drag out knock out fight between us and the dealer)
But if you can't tell, the color is kind of gold, and I just found out yesterday that the inside is black....all this time I thought it was blue.
I still say it's blue, what say you?
I apparently got distracted and failed to take pictures of the back of the van, inside or outside. One of my favorite features is the stow and go back seat!

To totally and completely change the subject. Today is my nephew, Caleb's, birthday!
Like Alyshia, Caleb and I spent a lot of time together in his first couple of years.
He was one of the cutest little boys ever.
Even back then I tortured kids with my camera.
Happy Birthday Caleb!

It's all about ME!

I'm feeling narcissistic today.
My hair has been driving me crazy! I was using my sunglasses as a hairband, that's when you know it's bad. So I cut it.
I'm sure it's a "mom do", but I still wear boot-cut jeans, so just call me mom.
Man, it's weird being in front of the camera.
Especially since I've spent the last year avoiding cameras, except for family pictures of course. ;o)
Considering I'm going to be wanting another haircut in about 2 months or so.... I'm open to hair "do" suggestions.
Except the "grow your hair out" options, cause that just isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Skateboard

Dare I say that it looked quite Spring-y today?
We went out to enjoy the warmer air and Aidan found this skateboard in a flower bed...
as far as I know, this kid has never been around anyone skateboarding, but
nevertheless, he knew just what to do.
Boys.

Does this shadow make me look fat? Hee. I thought shadows were supposed to make you look tall and the skinny. What the heck?
After I made Aidan stop playing with the skateboard for fear of him cracking his head on the pavement he resorted to chasing a duck.
It was totally reminding me of our walks last year when chasing ducks was Aidan's favorite pastime.
Ella sleeping peacefully in the stroller.
Back at the ranch, err, our house working in the "garden".
