Cause I'm random like that...

First

Ella slept until 6:30 this morning. Woot woot. (I did cereal and Tylenol again)
However, Aidan was awake at 11:30 last night wanting to party. Ugh.

(Sharon took these pictures of Ella, while babysitting for me last Sunday)

Ella had pooped all over her outfit so Sharon had to take her clothes off, and that makes this little girl happy!

Secondly, on Friday night after we got back home from eating out, Cary went in our room to practice the piano since he was going to be playing at church the next morning. I was on the couch feeding Ella and also had the laptop in my lap. Aidan came and sat by me and after a few minutes both he and Ella fell asleep. About 30 minutes later my arm was about to fall off and die from holding Ella, but I couldn't put the laptop down because Aidan was in the spot where I would normally be able to put it down. So what do I do? I can't call out to Cary because in order for him to hear me I would have to yell really loud and wake up both kids.
I just happened to be talking/ writing to my brother, Kenneth, on IM so I asked him to call Cary's phone and tell him that I needed help in the other room. So he did, and Cary sheepishly appeared in the living room to help me. :o) Ah, technology. Anyway, I thought it was kind of funny.

Thirdly, my cousin, Jenny had her baby boy yesterday morning.

They've named him Isaac Steven and he's adorable. He's my aunt Sharla's first male grandbaby among 5 girls. (well, the 5th one is still on the way) :o)
Congratulations Bryan, Jenny and Ava!

What did you say?

I can't hear you over the sound of how cute my family is

Ella has been waking up numerous times a night again, making me feel as though I have a newborn again.

So I've been trying to figure what's going on and whether or not she's just teething or if I needed to start her on solids. I was wanting to wait until she was 6 months old, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

So the other day we fed her some rice cereal and I gave her Tylenol (in case of teething) she slept until 6:00 the next morning. Perfect.

The next day I thought, well, maybe she doesn't need the cereal and I'll just try the Tylenol if she's just having teething pain. She woke up like 4 x's between 11:00-3:00. Fail.

So the next night I tried just cereal and no Tylenol and she did sleep until 3:00 but then woke up every couple hours after that.

Last night we didn't give her cereal because Cary and I went to Outback Steakhouse last night for my birthday. (Without kids, Thank you Abby and Tara!) and Ella was up every 1-1/2 - 2 hours.

I've decided she needs cereal AND she's teething.
The saga continues.... :o)

Another year...

Wiser? Older? Or just my last year to party it up in my twenties. ;o)
I love going through old photos, here are some oldies. It's all about me...

That was fun, I may just have to post old pictures more often.

Leftovers

Leftover pictures anyway, from Thanksgiving weekend.

Hanging out with aunts and uncles

I'm pretty sure that Christian and Caleb played football that day for like 7 hrs straight. They are hard core.

I intended to take pictures of them playing for one of my photography assignments, only to realize that I didn't know how to turn my flash on. As Ben said "You spent all that time learning how to take pictures without flash, and now you don't know how to make it come on." Exactly. Still don't, so needless to say I haven't done that assignment.

Sorry, lots of pictures of Ella, but I think she's cute.

She also still hates my camera, so we had to have Grandma come and make her smile.

Dude, you totally asked for this! :o)

Because it's Winter...

ok, not officially.
When it's cold around these parts it becomes very barren, gray, and drab looking. So you need lights to break up and cheer up the cold weather.

Kenneth and Crystal spent a lot of time stringing lights on the trees around the plaza at E-Dale

(my pictures aren't doing it any justice)

So the day after Thanksgiving we had a "Lighting party" to turn all the lights on.

Really, any excuse to eat goodies and drink hot chocolate/ coffee is good in my book. (Russian Tea Cakes and Gingersnaps in this instance)
