My Nieces

So I made asked the girls to be my models while I practiced shooting with different settings on my camera. They had just gotten out of school and weren't that thrilled about the whole idea but went along with me anyway. They ended up having so much fun that they wanted to do it again at a time when they weren't wearing their school uniform.
Critique welcome. (Be gentle) :o)

Birthday Party

It was moms birthday a little while ago, and dad's was on Wednesday. (I know, I slacked and never mentioned it here)
So we had planned a party to celebrate both of their birthdays, but due to conflicting schedules the date changed
So the date we ended up with there was still a lot of family that couldn't come
We managed to still have a nice dessert party
complete with cake balls, cheesecake, and Boston cream pie (dad's favorite)

School

These pictures were taken in April 2007

Myself, Jenny (?), Jenny (my cousin), Nomi, and Gretchen

It's kind of fun that over two years later our kids are playing together.

Aidan's been going to "school" while we're here visiting family.

so he's been able to play with the other kids his age

and he's loving it.

Matthew (Gretchen's)

Charlie (Nomi's)

Poor Charlie, he misses his mom

Ava (Jenny's)

Aidan has/ had so much fun that when I went to pick him up after all the other kids had left, he was still playing and didn't want to leave.

House Update #78498

Mmmm, mmmm, mmm... jealousy.

This is my aunt Teresa's house that's been in the process of being built for .....awhile. :-)
Entryway.

I liked the wall sconces

I like the bay window too. This is in the living area.

Office and bedroom (?) The carpet guy thinks he's funny.

Another bedroom and master bathroom. I forgot to get a picture of the main bathroom

Master Bedroom

Enter major jealousy!

We're having fun...

We miss dad, but we're keeping busy and having fun.

We went and visited Kenneth while he was working at the library.

I checked out books like Nighttime Parenting, Raising A Strong Willed Child, and How to Live with Kids. Ok, not really, I only checked out Nighttime Parenting since we'd had a particularly bad night the night before. That book was a little hippy dippy for me though.

Zorro, mom's new baby.

Dad found him nearly dead (frozen) down at the dairy and brought him to mom. Although, part of his tail is dead and just fell off yesterday, as well as part of his ear.
