Barney Slippers

Sharon took these with my camera during the weekend. I thought they were funny.

So, on Sunday I decided that I'd go home with Kenneth and Sharon and hang out with the family for the week, since Cary was going to be coming out on the weekend anyway.

Aidan gave me a heart attack yesterday. I let him outside and he went over to Greg and Lois' to look for "Gramma"

I ran back inside to get Ella and the diaper bag

When I came back outside, Aidan was halfway up the nearby slide (which is REALLY high!). He wasn't moving so I knew he was scared. I started running towards him and I was about 10 ft away when he let go or something and fell.

Thankfully, he just ended up with a mouthful of dirt, and some light bruising and scratches on the side of his face.

Hopefully he learned a lesson, cause, YIKES! I don't want to do that again.

It's been awhile

In short:

1. I bought my new camera. Yay. (Canon Rebel T1i) I haven't had much time to play around with it, but I think I'm going to like it. ;o)

2. Kenneth and Sharon visited us last weekend and I'm pretty sure I gained a good 8 pds with all the good food we ate. (Their ONE request was that we fit in Cafe Rio and Olive Garden during the weekend)

...with the settings on my camera. Someday, I'd like to to be knowledgable and confident enough to shoot totally in manual, but for now, I'm not there yet.

Aidan is a rather hard subject to catch.

Most of my pictures end up like this.

Probably one out of ten ends up focused.

Thank goodness for digital cameras.

A sleeping Ella presents a challenge.

Depression.

It's snowing outside. Let the crying commence.

Four Months Old

Baby is four months old today, so we had to do our obligatory photo shoot.

Ella wasn't really feeling it today.

So I tried to get a shot of the two of them together. Fail.

She just will NOT smile and laugh while I have the camera.

This was the closest I got to a smile

Then I laid her on her stomach...

...and she'd just roll over.

So these will have to do for now. :-)

Happy Birthday Mother!

I totally have a little over an hour to post this.

I met up with Tom and Janille for lunch (with the kids) and then after that, mom, dad, Kenneth, and Sharon met up with us and we did some shopping. (minus Tom, he had better things to do.) :-)

I guess that's what mom wanted to do for her birthday. Drive for 8 hours, shop, and eat ice cream.

After shopping, we stopped at Leatherby's where I ate the equilivant of a carton of ice cream. Oh yes I did.
