Furniture arranging 101

A couple of weeks ago, Cary said he wanted to change things around in our living room. This was surprising to me since usually I'm the one that wants to do that sort of thing. I mess around with moving furniture until I find an arrangement I REALLY like and then stick with it.
We started playing around with different arrangements and none of them were working so this led to a major cleaning/ disposal of "stuff".
I ended up on a cleaning and organizing binge, and we took 2 loads of stuff to the DI (second hand store), and I sold some stuff on KSL classifieds. (Basically Utah's own Craigslist)
Ahhh....it feels so good to get rid of stuff! So cleansing.

Cary won the ottoman war and the big one got relegated to the corner where it still houses Aidan's toys. Here is a picture of our living room after I got everything back together and decent enough to take a picture of.
It only took me two weeks to get to this point. :-) SEE, I told you everything takes longer now that I have two kids and one of them causes destruction in his path and the other one thinks I need to hold her right now.
In the end it was discovered that there is/ was a reason that certain furniture items were where they are for a reason. :-)
Alas, things have already changed since I took this picture, but more on that later...

So much to say...

So little time in which to say it. So I'll just say it's been a challenging couple of days and it's been hard to find time to update here...
Both kids have been sick with a cold or something. (See Aidan's shirt, you don't want to know what that wet spot is from)
The drainage is bothering Ella's stomach and she keeps throwing up. (and I mean THROWING UP!) Last night she was pretty congested and having a hard time sleeping, so her and I were planted on the rocking chair for most of the night. Aidan was having a hard time sleeping too so he ended up in our bed, so when I WAS in bed trying to sleep I couldn't because Cary and Aidan were "fighting" in their sleep. :-) I think I got about 2 hours of sleep total and ended up in the rocking chair from 2:30 on... Fun times.

2 Months

I know, I know... I just did an 8 week post last week, but I'll use any excuse to post pictures.
Here is a picture of my little cow. :) My aunt Anita gave Ella this outfit.
Actually, this blog, like other things in my life, got put in the neglect pile this week.
Sometimes you have to pick and choose what's going to get done that day, or that month. ;-)
But this little girl is 2 months old this week so I had to take some pictures.
Maybe that's a face only a mother could love...
And I DO!

Rosh Chodesh Sunset

We went up on the East bench last night for Rosh Chodesh hoping to get a glimpse of the first sighting of the moon. (Reminiscent of the time I last took the camera out for Rosh Chodesh)
It was a good time to get Aidan out of the house and let him play too since it's been 128,000 degrees outside during the day.
That's our house there in the background.
Ha, Ha.
Actually, I'm pretty sure some NBA players live in that neighborhood.
Cary loves getting his picture taken
While the skies were clear of clouds...
Unfortunately there was too much smog
So all the light just bounced off the fog and made the sky too bright
So we never saw the moon

Cute Ball of Chub

Picture overload today
As of yesterday, Ella is 8 weeks old.
She's nice and chubby
but it makes her so much fun to hold and cuddle
I mean the kid looks like the Michelin tire man
She's got forehead wrinkling all down too
What a sweet girl

Aidan likes to give her kisses and then says "Thank you. That's nice."

Birthday BBQ

On Sunday afternoon, Janille and Tom had invited a bunch of people to a BBQ for Alyshia's birthday at Garrison Reservoir.
Breanna, Alyshia, and Aidan

Waiting for the food

Aidan not too sure about the sun
He did decide however, that he wanted to be in the water.

Maybe...

He decided he liked it

Working on skin cancer, err... vitamin D. I kid, I kid. :)

John and Ben (I didn't get a picture of it, but Ben went out in the middle of the lake and the water still didn't come over his head, and then he saw a big black fish and got out of the water)

Sharon, a puppy, and Kenneth

Janille getting Alyshia's cake ready for lighting candles

Chandra and Ella

Aidan getting some grub and excited about it

Can you tell it was getting hot? :)

We weren't able to stay long as we had to head back to the SLC.
Here is a very overexposed photo I took as we were leaving
