Shavuot Preparation, etc...

Well, I was horrible about taking pictures this last weekend, so most of mine are from the preparation and then I remembered to take some of the "wedding feast" that we had on Sunday
Mom, Jessica, and Nakia working on the stage. The Tree of Life was the backdrop.

Still working on the center, obviously it wasn't finished in time for the weekend, but it should be done before July 3rd. ;)
Here Kara is pestering Aaron there in the background, asking him why he wasn't working faster and how come they didn't finish everything in time.
Laying pads down for the stage

Rolling out the carpet. It was HOT that day too.

Setting out chairs
A cute little boy sitting on his fat mom
The centerpieces on Sunday

The Hoopa (Hupa? all of the sudden I can't remember how to spell)
Mmmm...food.
The End. I can't believe that's all the pictures I got! Fire me. :)

Happy Full Term Day to Me!

37 weeks baby!

I had an appointment today and I'll spare you the details other than I probably weigh more than my dad at this point. Blood pressure is still great and obviously that's one of the main things we've got our eye on.
My doctor thinks I'll go anytime in the next two weeks, but said he's been wrong before.... ;) So, pretty much this kid will come when she decides, not that I'm in a hurry or anything! I'd really like her to atleast wait until June 7th, AFTER we go to Tom and Beth's wedding.

Are you listening, Ella?

Looooong...

Well, I've been a slacker. I'll start out with my 36 week picture. Yay.
I could write a whole post about how "comfortable" and "awesome" I feel, but I'll save that for some other day.
We're out at E-Dale this week visiting family and "helping" with all the preparation for Shavuot that is going on this weekend. Except that really we're more work than we are help.........
Aidan is having the time of his life though with so much dirt to play in.
Speaking of Shavuot, we're expecting around 200 people this weekend and there is still a lot of work that needs to be done and some work that won't be getting done. :)
Here is the potato cellar
John hauling some of the bigger logs away
and how it looked today
As I mentioned in a previous post, the center is getting a facelift. Here are Mike and Aaron working hard and doing an awesome job. Notice the dirt piles.....yesterday one of the main water pipes broke and ruined most of Gerry's hard work where he laid all that brick.
Now he's got to do it all over again...

Field Trip

Cary wanted us to get out of the house this weekend so we made a trip up to see the "This is the place" monument. (Where Brigham Young decided that the Salt Lake Valley would be where the LDS would settle, etc....)
It was a really nice warm day.
Overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. (one view of it anyway)
The actual monument
On another note, I'm 35 weeks today. Woot woot. Had another appointment today and all is well. I'm borderline diabetic, but they aren't going to "diagnose" me unless it gets worse since I know how to eat as a diabetic, etc....

Park Date

My child turns into a zombie lately when Sesame Street or The Wiggles are on.
I know, I'm a horrible person for letting my kid watch TV.
We met up with some friends at the park this morning and it was unexpectedly cold. Poor Jaydon and Aidan were having a hard time keeping warm.
Thankfully, Heather called Dan and Melanie before they left their house and had them bring some sweaters and pants.
As usual, it's hard to get pictures of Ethan and Drew...they are pretty much all over the place
Heather and Jaydon
The boys were pretty fascinated by the construction (or destruction) taking place next to the park.
I don't know who the kid on the right is, but he and Aidan were best friends by the time we left. (Notice Aidan rockin' Ethan's sweatpants)

Yay for progress!

Sunday at EskDale was the day of many projects
First off there were lots of Israelites wandering around the desert
but today it was because they were picking up trash and cleaning up the area.
Aidan and I are useless but we did our best to distract the workers
Meanwhile in another part of town.......
the Hansen men were working on this parking lot
Nick running the loader
David was running the dumptruck, and here is getting some instructions from Dean
This is what those Hansen guys do in their spare time. Work. :)
Next time I go to EskDale that old potato cellar won't be there anymore.
Jesse and Nick were going crazy with the loaders, you'd think they know how to run those things
John was running this thing, I'm not sure what it's called.
Another area they had finished earlier
The brick work that Gerry did in front of the center
This building is getting a facelift and hopefully next time I see it, it will be unrecognizable. :)
The outside of my aunt Teresa's house finally got finished and I love the rock work, it really tied the two colors of stucco together.
