Bridal Shower!

My cousin Bethany is getting married in June, so this last weekend I attended her bridal shower.

This is another cousin, Jenny and her daughter Ava
Bethany getting Hayden to smile. (Hayden is my cousin Rachel's baby) I have LOTS of cousins by the way. Ha.
Sharon will love this picture.

Lets all take a moment to hate Jenny for how skinny she is. :) My mom holding Hayden.
Hayden didn't want to smile for me
Spotlight! Everyone watching Beth open her gifts

Beth was embarassed by this gift but I wasn't quick enough
Everyone's reaction to the gift

Aidan wondering why Sharon is holding someone other than him.
It was fun seeing everyone and I'm still clinging to hope that we'll make it to the wedding. :)

Weekend

During the 3 major Biblical feasts (Pesach, Shavuot, and Sukkot) each year, the House of Aaron holds mini-conferences over the weekends (meetings from Friday night through Sunday morning). Since it's Pesach (or Passover) right now we had a mini conference over the weekend at EskDale.
I'm not even sure where they got these hats
Notice the nice weather, it's definitely not the kind we're having right now

Sunday was First Fruits and we usually have a meeting of offerings (special numbers done by people)
Here is my dad playing the trombone with two of his grandsons.
Aidan and Kenneth making goofy faces
Aidan was very sleepy during one of the meetings so his cousins gave him some animals to snuggle with.

Passover Seder

Last night we celebrated the Passover Seder with the rest of the House of Aaron peeps.
Most people probably celebrated/started Passover earlier in the week, but we went off when Rosh Chodesh happened in our area.
Aidan was helping Sharon cook here.
Kenneth and I did the decorating and most of the setting up of tables. Sharon helped with the grunt work since I'm pretty much useless these days when it comes to physical activity.
So most of pictures are usually centered around how we decorated and all that since that's what I like. :)
Kenneth designed the covers of the Haggadahs.

Nice Day

Other people have been taking pictures with my camera. Yay! So I'm not actually sure who took some of these. :)

Miscellaneous........

I thought I'd post some pictures of Aidan for Cary. :-) As you can see, Aidan was getting tired
So dad played some songs on the piano for him before he went to bed.
They finally found someone to work on Teresa's house and they started on the stucco until the weather got bad
They had Fat Alice over there by the house, (okay, okay, it's really the Fiat Allis) so Kenneth took Aidan up to check out the levers.
I'm not really sure what that face is about. :)

Just So You Know

Well, Aidan and I abandoned Cary yesterday. Sharon and Kenneth made a nice 4 hour detour to come pick us up and we're staying with my family for the week. Cary will join us on Friday when we get together with everyone to celebrate the Passover Seder and Passover weekend activities. This means that there will probably be no posts over on my cooking blog for quite sometime as I'm hoping that other people will be cooking for me. ::wink, wink::
I'll leave you with these lovely pictures though.

Random Musings

Yesterday was Cary's birthday so we went to eat at Mimi's where we knew Abby would be working and we could bug her. We were discussing how Cary is an old man now and it got me remembering that I missed our "getting engaged anniversary." That should have had a post all of it's own! :) Ha ha.
We got engaged 3 years ago, March 17, 2006 and this picture was taken that day. (Actually, we officially were engaged March 12, but we didn't tell people until the 17th) ;)
These were taken a little later
It really wasn't THAT long ago, but I guess since so much has happened since then that it feels like a lifetime ago.
Ok, another random story. Today is not one of my better "I look like I actually got dressed and put make up on, etc...." days, but tonight we ran to the mall to do something with Cary's ipod. One of the ladies at the kiosks assaults me and wants to see my nails, yada, yada,....tells me that she can make them look so good that I'll want to hug and kiss her. Seriously lady? I'm wearing jeans, sneakers, and my husbands sweater because it's the only thing that covers my belly in the cold lately, do I look like I CARE if my fingernails look great or not. I don't care on a normal day and I REALLY don't care today. After seeing the disaster that my fingernails are I think she was even more disappointed that I didn't want to stay and let her work on them. Hee. hee.
