It's a Weddin'! (reception)

So if I didn't mention it before... Chris and Amanda snuck off and got married last month, so they wanted to have a small "reception" when they came to visit.
So last night we all got together and had steak and cheesecake. (and some other food too)
They even bought themselves a little decorated cake that I didn't get a picture of.
The steak was yummy, of course, steak is always yummy.

More hanging out.
Josh and Kiera

The ladies
A picture just wouldn't be complete if I wasn't off doing my own thing. :-)
The men.
Shawn, we got some video footage for you, but we have to edit it it and all that good stuff so hopefully we'll have it on here soon.

Family #2

Josh and Chris hangin'
Amanda bought a Snuggie and Chad had to try it on.

Jordynne showing Aidan around the "kitchen".

Josh and Aidan sizing each other up.

The sisters.

Cary modeling.
They are painting each other nails, thought I should clarify since it just looks like they are holding hands, although they do that too. ;)

We're looking on as Chad and Chris have a rousing discussion on the stock market. (I think that discussion lasted a good 2+ hrs)

More family pictures to come...

Happy Valentines Day!

We're currently in the middle of a snow storm and we had to cancel our Sabbath meeting today since we don't want people out driving in it, so we're just chillin' at home.

Just so you know.

I wouldn't really let Aidan eat that whole sucker.

It was merely a prop for the photos.

It was around this point that it was starting to get sticky on his hands and he didn't want anything to do with it anymore.

I surprised Cary by "celebrating" Valentines day yesterday.

I had to, he did something really nice for me last year and I didn't do anything for him.

So I made him this cake.

The recipe is over on my cooking blog. ;-)

Family

Chris and Amanda are in town and so we met up at Chads house to hang out.

Actually, we didn't know that Chris and Amanda were in town already, we just happened to be up there to see Greg and Lois and we all found out that the newlyweds were in town.
Showing pictures of their elopement/honeymoon to Paris and Barcelona.
So we all hung out for awhile.
And played with the dish soap.

Watched a little bit of the financial news. Yeehaw. (And Chad cried)

The happy newlyweds.

Aidan hanging out with Grandma.

Since Shawn wasn't able to be here in time...
I tried to take a lot pictures to make him feel like he was there.

Sort of.
Chad says "Hi".

That's all I've got.

It snowed ALL day today. Aidan STILL wants to be outside ALL the time so he'll stand by the door and cry. The End.

Time Flies

Yesterday Aidan came in the room with this.
It's a cereal bar, apparently it was snack time.
And then he took me into the kitchen to show me what he'd done and where he found the cereal bar.

We cleaned up that mess so that he could ...
Make this one!
Aidan is officially 1 and a half as of yesterday and we had a doctors appointment with his pediatrician. Aidan is 31' tall and 19.1 lbs, so he's still a little peanut. He was weighing about 21-22 pds in December before he hit a growth spurt and started walking. We're not worried it though since he's such a good eater. (And Dr Cannon said that his growth percentage was right on track to be my size. Ha. ha.)
The better news though was that he had his blood drawn and his neutraphils levels are still climbing (slowly but surely) and they are at 1.1 now. Normal is above 1.5, but Aidan's were as low as .3-.5 during December -February last year. Last August they had risen to .8, so atleast it's a steady climb. That is good news! Hopefully by the time we test again in 6 months it will be in the normal range.

Dinner with Friends

I'm pretty sure I'm losing my mind. I remembered at 5:30 this morning that I had a doctors appointment later on, guess it's a good thing I remembered BEFORE and not after. I wasn't too happy about it since they were saying we were supposed to be in the middle of a blizzard. Luckily those weather guys can be wrong and Aidan and I only had to drive in a little sprinkle.

Last night we invited Dan, Melanie (and kids), Jesse, Chris, and Nick over for dinner.

We ate lasagna, garlic bread, and 4-layer delight. Yum.
Afterwards everyone sat back and relaxed.

Cary loves the camera and I, lately. (Mostly cause he knows the pictures end up on here) ;-)

Nick enjoying his food.
The movie Eight Below (love that movie!) was playing on TV so everyone got into the movie and we all laughed and cried together.
Ha, ha. Not.
