Yes, this is WAY behind....Aidan's birthday was in August. Oops.

St Louis

Since I'm on vacation I've been using our laptop and I don't usually use it while I'm home, so I found these pictures from a trip to St Louis, MO. We went there last August for an MIA conference and we were there a day early so we walked around and saw the sights. I wasn't updating this very often back then so I thought I'd rectify the situation. I know, you're thrilled.

We were walking from the train station to our hotel when we got caught in a downpour (and I mean DOWNPOUR) It was insane, so we had to take refuge in a parking garage right across the street from where we were supposed to be.

Another warm day

Our vacation is quickly coming to an end.... :-(

It was another warm day today so Aidan suckered Aunt Tara into taking him outside to play.

He was thrilled with the riding mower and all of it's knobs and gadgets.

Aidan sure is going to be sad when we have to go back to SLC,

Where it's going to be colder and snowing....

and he won't have all these family members doting on him.

Happy New Year!

This is how we PARTY! We all meet over at the kitchen at 10:30 PM, eat food, play games, and kick off midnight with some fireworks and wake all the other people that are sleeping.

Cecelia, there in the background behind the counter provides the sparkling cider, that we use to toast in the new year.

Around 7:30 that night I was seriously wondering if I'd make it to the late night party...but, I persevered by watching Lifetime movies to keep myself awake.

Here are some of my family members playing Boggle....and Ben is the world champ at that game. Seriously.

Even my 92 yr old grandpa makes it out to the festivities....he's looking rather mountainman-ish these days.

Aidan was enjoying himself too, of course, people and food. His two favorite things.

Here are some of the goodies.
Mmmm, mmmm, pretzels and cheese. I'm pretty sure I gained 10lbs last night.

Horse, Walk, Cold

So today wasn't nearly as warm as yesterday...

But Aidan still insisted that we go outside.

So we went to visit Cash, the horse.

Cash is new to this pen and he's still trying to figure everything out.

Even the kitty came over to see what was going on.

Warm Winter Day

This is what happens when you have the first warm, dry day in the middle of winter...

Everyone seems to think that their cars are dirty

and today it got up in the 50's, providing the perfect opportunity to get the vehicles wet.

It's a phenomenon.

Although it makes one long for Spring already!
