Long Day

Don't know about everyone else, but I'm still trying to get used to the new time change. I went on another online shopping rampage last week. Bad Net. I got my new entertainment center today, so I spent the better part of the afternoon putting it together until it was time for dance practice. It gave me an excuse to rearrange furniture which seems to be a hobby of late. I have to change the setup until I find one that I like well enough to keep.

Shawn was out here yesterday to fly (crash) his toy plane. Ken and I were with him and I got sunburned. I don't look as fried as Shawn does, but my face and my neck were pink. I guess I need to get back in the habit of wearing sunscreen and a hat.

Today was really warm and sunny too, and I had good intentions of planting flowers, but never got around to it.

The Jazz won a game last night, and then lost bad tonight. I did see Raul last night because he was on the halftime show, so I'm set for a week or two. ReAL Salt Lake also started their season, so I have another obsession to start working on. The problem with soccer (or futbol) is that they only have like 10 games in 4 months. That's a little different from the 10-15 games/month schedule of the NBA.

I'm starting to get boring. HA! I'm out.

Wow

I can't believe it's April already. Time is flying by.

Last Tuesday, the Timpview Highschool band came to Eskdale and had a concert with the high school here. It was fun to hear them play.

Last week on Friday we had a big birthday party for Chandra, Sharon, and Caleb. The dessert table rivaled the dessert table at Condie family reunions. Ummm....dessert.

We in the dance team have been starting to work more on dances for Passover. I'm only doing three, so it shouldn't be too stressful.

The weather can't decide if it's going to be warm or cold, but mostly it's cold and windy. Well, if I had a better memory I'd be able to write more, but alas I can't remember past the last few hours, so I'm off to finish writing up the menus for next month.

Nightswimming

Woo, hoo! It's always nice to beat the Lakers. The Jazz finally won a game last night.....I think that merits a new post. It's been a long time. I guess I'm getting a dose of what it feels like to be a Clippers, Hawks, Hornets, etc.....fan. Hee, hee....Although, we're bad enough I should be wanting the Jazz to tank the season totally so that we have a higher draft pick.

The kittens are sooo playful now and I feel like I have kids. I've had to start "disciplining" them with my squirt bottle. When Megan was here she decided that was her job. When the kittens fight they both whine and cry, so I'm sitting there saying "Stop fighting, be nice to your brother/sister, stop tearing up the furniture!" Egads. They also think that if you are walking around the house that you are a moving target. That's okay, I didn't WANT those pants anyway. They aren't discriminatory, if you aren't wearing pants or shoes they still attack and at this point my body is covered with scratches. Although, after an exhausting morning of chasing me around the house, all 3(mother and kids) are sprawled in my lap sleeping as I write this. Awww....cute.

Last night was REALLY windy and rainy. I was wondering if the shack would still be standing by morning. I'm still here and today looks like it will be more of the same. Valerie bought some flowers and I was hoping to plant them.

Hmmm....maybe I'll go do something productive now. I'm out.

Ummmm

Janille just came and picked up her kids. Megan, Kayli and I had a girls night last night since Caleb was having an overnight birthday party with all of his friends. I can't believe Caleb is 6 already. Kayli and Megan spent the night watching Disney Princess stories while I kept track of the Jazz game on the internet. We did go over to my parents house to say "Hi" to my aunt and uncle who were visiting from Washington.

The kittens new thing is to crawl up my legs while I'm sitting at the computer and fall asleep in my lap. Awwww....it's so cute, but can be a tad annoying.

Janille and I went to Provo on Thursday to go shopping. Woo, hoo! It had been awhile since I had left Eskdale....besides going to Delta with Tara last weekend. I don't think Delta really counts as getting away though. I did get my Cafe Rio fix though, so now I can continue to crave it for another month or so. Heh.

All the college kids are going back today, so things will be alot quieter around here. Ah, well.

Well, I'm currently watching the Vermont/Michigan St game, and I think I'm going to go take a nap. Kayli and Megan let me sleep in till 7:00 this morning, but I don't think that quite cut it.

Time for my weekly kitty update.

Heh. I wish I was kidding....

Life is good. The weather was awesomely warm until yesterday. I'm starting to get freckles again and my nose is red, but it turned cold again. The flu hit everyone bad, and I've managed to not get it as bad as everyone else yet. I'm trying my grandpa's cure....everytime I feel like something is wrong I go take an Alka-Seltzer. Sadly, I don't think it will help if I get what mom and Megan had. Mom and Dad got back from Israel a few days ago and mom has been sick ever since.

My friend, Tom, from Logan got married this last weekend. He married a girl from Hinckley, so Tara and I drove in this last weekend and went to their reception. It was his apartment that I watched all my Jazz games last year. I'll not speak of the Jazz today......much too depressing of a topic.

As some of you know...we are trying to "redecorate" the center/kitchen area. Colleen and I spent some time today picking out pictures that we may want to put on the walls. I'm kind of excited about the whole thing....if we ever get it done.

Well, I realize that this was an exciting post, but I think I need to take a nap before I go back to work. Naturally, since this has turned into my photo journal, I'll leave you with pictures.

Pictures from another walk

Checking out the work going on on Johnny and Mary's house. Making sure they are doing it right. :-)

Why don't like people like me taking their picture?

I know, you were beginning to think that I never left my house.

Abby is trying to kill me.

We logged in about 14 miles in three days and she complained that I wouldn't go walking with her yesterday.... Geez, there is no pleasing some people. I just couldn't fit it in between work, laundry, cleaning my house, and watching the Jazz game. (I also watched "Their eyes were watching God", anyone else see that on TV?) I might be able to fit you in my schedule today Abby.

The kittens are getting cuter everyday, walking around and getting into everything. Madison is the stupidest cat ever and I have murderous thoughts about her regularly. She is cute every now and then, so it saves her.....that and I'm not sure how I'd feed the kittens.

Well, I have to go cook, but I'll leave you with pictures...pretty soon that's all I'll have on here.

I don't even know who took this picture....people randomly take pictures with my camera. Check out those paws. How adorable.

Random

Ken, Abby, and I just got back from a nice LONG walk, and now my blood sugar is VERY low....I think I need a brownie. JK. It's a very nice/warm day today. It started out that way yesterday, but by the time I got home last night it had dropped 30 degrees and started raining, but today is just lovely. I look out my window and my Grandpa is working in his yard and makes me feel like a big slacker for having done nothing in mine. The really nice thing about it being springish is that it's lighter at 7:00 and not so painful to get out of bed.

On a side note: I realize that I talk about the weather alot...for some it's just a way to get through a conversation. In my family it's a big deal and we are genuinely interested and fascinated by it...most of us anyway. Just thought I'd say that....

I totally chopped my hair off yesterday. I guess that's the bad part of knowing how to cut your own hair....when you get the whim, you can act on it. I think it's a little shorter than I planned, but it will grow back.

The kittens are starting to crawl around everywhere and it makes Madison angry so she's moved them behind the couch. Hmmm...I think I'm going to name the girl Reagan which means I'll probably end up keeping her. Still working on a name for the boy....so any suggestions? Hee, hee.

Well, I was going to write more, but got majorly distracted and now I have to go. Have a fabulous day. I will leave you with pictures of our walk.
