Hill Aerospace Museum

Our last day in SLC, we headed up north to go to the Hill Aerospace Museum. We've wanted to take Aidan there for awhile. It was a miserable day since it was so cold and windy. There was a wind advisery for the area and semi trucks weren't supposed to driving on the freeway, and we actually passed by a semi that had blown over onto it's side, but we persevered. ;)

I got stopped by an older gentlemen right inside the door, he was one of the greeters, and a very chatty one at that. As we got talking we found out there were people we both knew. (Papageorge's for anyone curious, he goes to church with Harry) ☺
Back to the airplanes...I'd been here before with my family many years ago, but they've definitely added some exhibits, and it would have been nice to actually be able to read them. lol.
Aidan loved it and probably would have liked to spend more time there, they had a room that was playing historical videos but the younger kids were bored and done. It was so cold and windy that we couldn't go explore outside and see all the outdoor plane exhibits.

I would fail and I get sick just thinking about it. ☺

I love this picture.

A lady saw me taking the picture before this one and volunteered to shoot one with all of us. It's a bit blurry, but still funny.

I did manage to get a quick picture of Aidan outside before we froze to death.

Then we headed back home.
I'm not usually a fan of McDonalds and I was kind of hoping the kids would skip over liking it too, but lately they love McD's and we like the playground...so we stopped in Delta so they could play and get some energy out.
It was a fun trip, but it's so nice to come home. Thanks to Josh and Kiera for letting our crazy crew crash at your house for a few days!

Faber Festivities

We headed into SLC on December 28, Lois was cooking a dinner for the family at Josh and Kiera's house, we all hung out and played games after eating.

Aidan's face in these photos cracks me up!

During the school year we're on such a tight schedule that over the break we were really enjoying a loose routine/ schedule, and not having any set plans.  We did take the kids to Clark Planetarium which Aidan really enjoyed.
This winter has been so mild at EskDale and we've been enjoying weather in the 50's-60's on a regular basis, but of course when we were in SLC, it snowed and got really cold so we were trying to find indoor things for the kids to get their energy out...which meant we ended up at Chick-fil-a and McDonalds a lot so that they could play on the playgrounds. ☺
