Clara - 11 months

Clara at 11 months
-I can't believe she's 11 months. Aaaaaah!
-She started walking the last day of the year and is into everything. Bathrooms and kitchen cupboards are her favorites. She likes to help me with the dishwasher as well.
-She's working on teeth again. #8 &#9
-She's my happy girl
-Clara likes to say "yes" and "Hi"
She's still a tiny little thing, but she's finally growing into some 9 month clothing after being in 6 month size for the last 6 months or so...
We love this girl! ♥

Sharon is responsible for all of the photos, and I had a hard time narrowing them down. :)

Staining (and painting) My Life Away...

Not really, but I have been dabbling a bit the past few months. This is a brag post 'cause I'm kind of proud of myself for managing to get anything done. ;)

The first thing I worked on was the vanity cabinet in our bathroom. I actually finished it in November, but I procrastinated on taking pictures.
We've also made some other changes like a new shower head, shower rod, sink faucet, some hardware, etc... We still have a lot to do, but every now and then you need to feel like you're making progress.

I took advantage of Cary being home during his holiday break to get the bottom half of the kitchen cabinets done, the kids bathroom vanity cabinet, and the hall closet doors.

It's really hard to get the lighting right in the hall but that cabinet is just a little lighter than the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. It's not as red as it is looking in this photo.
The kids bathroom cabinet, I didn't stain it as dark as our bathroom, but the white stool in front is throwing off the color but that's the only work that has happened in this bathroom so far, other than taking down towel rods and hanging up hooks for towels.

We have a coat closet behind the front door, and it was your regular closet with a shelf and rod for hanging things. Well, I like hooks! So we took off the door, painted, and hung up hooks. So much more functional for us. I would have loved to widen the opening but I'll take what I can get right now. ;)

We have another coat closet in the hallway, and again...not functional for us. Hooks to the rescue. More paint, hooks, voila! I wish it was as easy doing all that work as it was saying it. :)

We spaced the hooks closer in this closet so it could hang more stuff, and since the doors are still on we can close it up.

I should have taken a picture of how much crap we can now hang in this closet. Yes!
Have I mentioned yet how much I love hooks?
