Last week we had some really cold weather here at E-Dale, yesterday was a balmy 36 degrees and we were all commenting on how "warm" it was. (Lets go play outside, it's so warm!!!!) It reminded me of my days of going to school in Logan. There was a sign next to the LDS institute on campus that we would walk past every day on our way to class and it told you the temperature, day, yada yada. One February it snowed 3 feet, and the temperatures dropped to 30 below zero in the mornings and for like 2-3 weeks the temperature never got above zero. I remember walking to school one morning and it had finally warmed up to 17 degrees, we were shedding our jackets, and people were walking around in shorts and sandals because it was so "warm".
I digress
One thing I love about Snake Valley is the amount of diversity in a relatively small population that encompasses the valley.
There is rather a unique grouping of different social groups in the valley. (Parkies (people that work at the national park), farmers, ranchers, EskDale (we're unique all by ourselves ;o)), Home Farm, etc...) I find it rather fascinating the different people that live and work here and love and are drawn to this place. (Whether that has to do with the other people in the valley, or just the valley itself.) :o)
Of course, with Las Vegas wanting to take the water from here, that has brought the people of the valley even closer together to fight for their livelihoods.
Getting to the point....slowly.
John and Anita had an open house the other day and I just got to thinking about all the different people that were there and that it's pretty cool all the different people that get together and hang out.

Congratulations Erin and Jesse on impending baby #2!
