Valerie's Baby Shower

About a year ago we went to Vegas for Valerie and Bob's wedding. Back then I was still trying to hide the fact that I was pregnant even though I was exploding in slow motion out of my dress. Things have changed a little since then. This last weekend was Valerie's baby shower.

It wasn't until I was going through the pictures that I was thinking that it's pretty funny to have a baby shower in a bar. :-)

Today my babies are full on sick now and looking very sad. :-(

Cary and I pretty much didn't get any sleep last night, thankfully, Cary stayed home today to help me out.

One of those days

Mondays, after we've been out of town for the weekend, aren't usually that fun around here. The kids are cranky that we're back home and they aren't getting all the attention that they got used to for 2 days being around family.
Ella started out by waking me up at 5:00 because she's so stuffy, so I was up until Cary left for work around 6:30 and then I fell asleep long enough to be REALLY cranky when Aidan woke me up about 20 minutes later. We all continued to be grouchy and whiny all morning. :-)  If I drank, today would be a good drinking day, instead I think I'll go binge on ice cream. Yes!
In the meantime, we have a doctors appointment later this afternoon to check out why Aidan is so whiny and check out this cough that he's had for over a month now. Also, Ella has been waking up really congested in the morning but doesn't act like anything is wrong all day. I love the "guessing game" with kids. "Do we take them in to the doctor, or not?" "How long do we wait?" Arrrrgh! :-)

I love Fall, but we get some very nasty side affects from Fall. I went in the kitchen to get Aidan a drink of water and was surprised by a spider the size of a quarter (including legs) in the sink. I'm pretty sure I screamed like a little girl. This is after I killed one in the bathroom after getting home last night. There are a lot of spiders in this area and now that it's getting cold at night they are all making their way indoors. Yuck. I hate spiders almost as much as I hate snakes.

The good news is that sometime here in the near future I will be posting pictures from Valerie's baby shower. 'Til then, Happy Monday. :-)

I'm working on only giving Aidan his "sapi" at naptime or bedtime. He's not a fan, so he steals Ella's whenever he can find them. (not that she uses them, I wish she did!) =P
